So what is Iceland like as a golfing holiday destination?

How does it rate compared to Vietnam and Borneo?

A local pro I know has them and I've hit them. They're your typical blade. Nothing special, nothing not special. Unless you're under a 5 HDCP and dropping I'd stick with the Nike's that aren't blades.

I suspect that Nike Victory Red Blades are exactly like all other major brand blades--THEY'RE BLADES!!!

The Victory Red Full Cavites are nice looking though, albeit absurdly strong lofted.

I think it's amusing that the only OEM offering a true blade is Nike. It can only be put down to the fact that Tiger uses blades. Even Mizuno has gone away from blades.

Not quite true there NAH. Bridgestone J36 blades. Srixon makes the Pro100's which are beautiful. I play the J36 cavities which have the identical offset specs as the blades. Offset is very little and the Bridgestones feel awesome. I believe they are Endo forged.

I wasn't aware the Bridgestones still had the baldes in the fulol set. The only blades I've seen are the short irons in the combo sets. Are the Srixon Pro 100's still current?

Looks like the Srixons are now off their website so I guess they are no longer current. The Bridgestones are definitely ffered in a full set of blades. I regret not going with the blades, but my J36 cavities are pretty sweet. Easy to work and they feel awesome.

Cobra has some muscle back out there too (I think it's the Pro MB that I cant find anywhere). I have hit those Bridgestone J36's and they look pretty sweet with a classic look. Titleist still as the AP 2 and the Z blades. There are still some current Mizuno MP series out there too.

Read write up on those clubs in Golf magazine. Each set of irons has a full write up and says "Who should play them:". Usually it says "High handicappers", "Mid handicappers", "Low handicappers". For that set it says, "The best players in the world". Clearly this is a set that was designed for Tiger. A few other Nike staff touring pros have used them too. Not a set designed for anyone but the very best ballstrikers in the world. Not only is the sweetspot almost unfindable, but the head is designed to be very unforgiving trajectory-wise on all but the most perfect shots.

This set is a poor choice for any golfer who has ever posted or read this board.

If you are going to go with a Nike player's club, the former forged blades, CCI forged cavities or the Pro Combos are way better choices. They are easier to hit while still offering the playability aspects of a forged iron. All of them will be cheaper too.

I ditched my blades for a forged cavity and I really cant' tell the difference in playability, but found some more foregivness in the long irons.
