    Best looking wedge ever?
Ping just introduced its Anser line of wedges along with its Ping Eye 2 XG wedges. I believe the Anser will go down as the best looking wedge in the history of the game. Take a look at the pic. That's the best looking wedge I've ever seen. What's interesting is that it is completely different looking than the Anser forged irons. Ping has hit another home run.

Your pictures aren't working FD. But don't worry about fixing them because the Cleveland Reg 588 wins easily.

Pictures ARE working. And Vokey wins that prize. Unless you're close up on the face, in which case nothing beats Cleveland zip grooves.

    So, how much does PING want for their Anser wedges, . . . . . . $600?

I just got two Tit Vokies, 52 & 56, that are well-used and look very good at address. Best looking PW is my MP 14.

The latest Titleist Black Satin Spin Groove wedge is great looking. One thing I like about their wedges is how the have a straight leading edge as opposed to curved. It's visually pleasing and instills confidence in great players like myself.

    Looking at those new PING Eye 2 wedges is almost as bad as looking at a Lovett wedge . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . almost.

I played in a captain's choice last week. After laying the sod with my last 100 yard approach, I borrowed my friend's ping eye 2 lob wedge (61*) and hit one of the best shots of my life. The eye 2 wedge isn't pretty in the bag, but it really fits my eye at address.

I'll be adding the eye 2 XG lob wedge to my bag when it comes out.

I amend my previous post-- the pictures on FD's links are working fine... but the wedges IN the pictures are making me wanna launch my lunch.

i strongly disagree. for one the vokeys are cast and too light for accomplished players like myself. They are definitely a sweeper club targeting hackers that can't spin the ball. Any digger can produce backspin with any wedge and ball combination. Second, the tour grind model a $10 extra. I traded in my new vokey 54 for a mpt11 with a precision rifle 6.5 shaft. talk about a wedge...

How can any Niblick user not bag Cleveland's new Mashie? Especially after watching the mini infomercial running on the Golf Channel. It is the second iteration of "The Perfect Club". Can't Cleveland afford to run a print ad campaign for this stunning new product with never-before-seen rails and a keel on the sole? And the tour pro's endorsing the product? None other than the perenial powers houses David Toms and Peter Jacobson (and Larry Mize for you AARP members).

The Vokeys do look great but seem to wear out quickly. You don't really get your money's worth. A wedge should last a while.

I went to Cleveland's website and took a gander at the Mashie. To me it looks exactly like a hybrid with some tiny rails on the sole. I guess I don't see the difference.

Getting back to the golf wedge discussion, I think that Anser is a nice looking wedge. I think the best looking wedge at address is the Titleist Spin Milled Black Nickel. Looks perfect.
