Is Spain a good golf destination? Where to go?

Thinking of a golf trip in Spain. Anyone have any advice on where to play or stay etc. ?

Around Alicante there are a couple of nice courses, or else Murcia. If you want commercial, go to Malaga.

I travel every year with my buddies to Malaga/Marbella area. It is a great place, almost 100 courses on the 120 kms long coast line from Malaga to Gibraltar. There are many great courses, many hilly ones. My favourites are: Rio Real, Santa Clara, Mijas (3 courses), Alquidesa (links course). You can find many hotels in the Marbella area (from Mariott to local chains like NH).

Torrequebrada in Benalmadena is a favorite of mine and Miguel Angel Jimenez's also.
