Toe Shots

I've been hitting the ball off of the toe for the past few weeks now, and i didnt used too. makes no sense. anyone got any tips to help? i do it mostly on pitches, and with my driver. i might be setting up with the ball to far or too close to me...........

What if anything, have you been working on recently with your swing? The fact that you are having the same problem with the longest and shortest club in your bag, would seem to indicate that a singular faulty swing thought is the culprit.

well, im always trying new things with my driver, and the wedges i got are brand new to me, soo maybe this? it shows up occasionaly in my irons as well

If you set up with the ball in the center of the clubface, but then reroute the club (i.e. bring the club straight back and then drop it to the inside) you will hit the toe every time. Simply try playing the ball off the heel of the club and make a "normal" swing.

IMO all the euros look gay.

Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Retief Goosen and Sergio Garcia all play the golf ball towards the heel of their clubs. I guess you guys think they're gay to.

Out of all those guys you mentioned, only Sergio is European. And yes, he looks very, very gay. I'm not taking the Dennis hard-line stance that ALL Euro's look gay, BTW.

I need to set up the on the toe. When I swing my arms relax enough to be center spot.

Ya, that happened to me a couple of months ago, so now I play the ball a little towards the heel.

Definitely. Let's just agree that ALL Swedish golfers are 100% gay. Maybe throw Spaniards in there as well. UK is probably around 25-40% gay with Poulter and Donald making strong cases. That number may be too low.

but its not consistent. im not doing it on every shot, maybe 1 out of every 3, so i dont see what good setting up on the heel would do, because that would only work 1 out of 3 times........

hmmm... the problem is really quite simple to fix... get lessons... or just ride it out...
