Coloured Golf Trousers
I just bought a pair of pink ping golf trousers on ebay and was wondering what others thought? will i get beat up when i turn up at the club on saturday?:p i usually go for black and felt like a change, what do people think about bright coloured golf trousers?

Short answer is yes.
On the plus side, you are in the running for the prestigious "Most British Post" in the upcoming 2007 GR Awards.
-
I mock anyone who wears trousers (aka long pants) on the golf course unless it is snowing or it is mandated by the PGA tour.
-
I only wear them when it's cold, or cool but with a pretty consistent strong breeze. Granted I live in FL, there's something not fun about 40's - high 50's and a steady breeze in the early morning/late afternoon.
-
are you good? go to hell pants should only be worn if you can play. or if you're terribly rich and really don't care.
-
First of all, everyone is missing the point. This is not a discussion about pants/trousers, the is a discussion about brightly colored pink pants/trousers. He wants to know if he should be expecting an asskicking on the first tee. Shame on you all.
Secondly, it's true that pants should only be worn if forced upon you, either by the weather or club rules. Sorry, boat shoes, you moved a step closer to d-bag with that response.

-
I fear that if you have to come on here to get opinions on pink pants, you may not have the sort of self confidence/attitude that wearing pink pants requires.
-
now wait a minute...
Hypothetically speaking you are 1 hour to tee time and the only options you have to wear are either
A. CARGO SHORTS.....
B. LONG BRIGHTLY COLOURED TROUSERS....
what is the ruling here....
under GR Rule 71 paragraph C, sub sentence 2 the trousers are the only logical choice...
in fact cargo shorts are strictly forbidden unless you have them TRIPLE PLEATED....

I catch flack about my Cally shoes. It'd be interesting what wouls happen if I wore Pink pants..Hmmm...
This could make for an interesting afternoon at work:).

If you can really play anything within the dress rules and etiquette of the game (which rules out cargo shorts) is probably ok, even pink ping trousers. As long as you don't mind all the extra attention they will attract.
Having said that, I would certainly not wear them and would personally stove the head of any playing partners in with my putter if they had the audacity (not to mention bad taste) to mince around the course in something that would make our group look like a pack of bum lords.
-
all i can say is that if you come to my reg fouresome with pink fuking pants ,you better bring an A game with you,or you may run home to mommy crying and you would probably need serious therapy to get over the verbal curbstomping.
-
so is that a yes on the pink?:p
these are the ones

I wouldn't wear those around Ian Poulter. He might become sexually aroused.

Tampa now. Was in Tallahassee for undergrad. It got as low as the upper 30's some winters in Tally and that's not fun. Tampa, I know highs can range all over the place depending on if there's a front in the area. But a day in the 50's with a gulf breeze, that crap gets a bit nippy.

Um, lets see. When I was real little I had a little black pet cat that I named Tyrone.

Colored pants are mint. If I had a pink pair I would be wearing them. I have yellow and blue but take note, I do live in Saskatchewan.
