Congrats Poe...I wanted to be the one who made Dave break his 3 line maximum post length vows.
Did I say that was for all threads?

I meant only for the solemn vow thread

    just a misunderstanding. :-))

I would say that I'm more amused than impressed. Just the thought of you sitting at your keyboard with smoke coming off your fingers cracks me up. You gotta know that probably 2% of us are reading these ramblings start to finish.....Hey whatever floats your boat man....

Well than I, for one, propose you extend the 3 line thing to all threads. Distill and truncate.

If brevity and truncation were so important, I'd never have pinched off that world record turd of which I'm so proud. World records are rare, difficult to achieve and seldom result from anything less than a complete effort.

I know I'm probably wrong but this statement just screams Zo.......
Hey buddy, you wouldn't reply to your own post would you?

I'll try not to feel insulted but I sure hate getting confused with that perverted dirtbag. Getting a restraining order on him was the best thing I ever did. Now he imitates me.

Time for compromise, although one particularly long winded effort of mine was somewhat dismissive of the concept of compromise..

still, time and place for everything, so here's my compromise.

I will refrain from long rants except when provoked, but transparent attempts like Darwin's folly by Purist will not be sufficient to get me going.

I will refrain from simple reflex rants, and take a day to think things over before I melt down my keyboard with deeply researched truths and long held beliefs.

I will reserve the right to respond properly when someone is absolutely full of sheite and needs to be told truth, and in exchange for reserving that right I absolutely grant one and all the right to not read my posts if they are not judged to be sufficiently distilled and truncated.

    Here's to compromise.

Wait.. is this one longer than three lines? My monitor is ten feet wide, so text wrap may differ on your screen.

Don't compromise Dave! You continue to defend your position in detail and we can let the leftists ignore you in favor of MTV soundbytes! To me this is the reason the left is succeeding. The general public has no interest in educating themselves. The left claims intellectual superiority but refuses to make the slightest effort in understanding the debate. Instead they resort to the typical useless talking points and character assassinations that are complete nonsense to anyone that takes more than 10 minutes to research the issues.

I suggest not compromise, rather something designed to fit today's form of communication. I agree with what you say but we both know power is in the sound byte.

soundbyting is a game. The real power is in truth. i used to be shy about that, never talk politics and religion, yada yada, but I"m at the point in my life and the country's life that I"m just not going to be shy anymore.

Power in sound byte, but more power in truth. :-)
