Exactly what I'd expect of you Sacramentans. Us Southern Californians shower and use deodorant.
I have no doubt that I sometimes get too armsy. I think this is because of a lack of concentration. I have caught myself sometimes getting too lax in my "body turn." I need to focus on doing it more often.
I know that today I was really working on turning the body and not allowing the clubface to get ahead of the hands and it was working well. But, like I said previously, I was really CONCENTRATING on these things. If I could only concentrate that well in a round, while not losing focus on all the other parts of my game, I could do well. I really wish it would all come natural without all the concentrating. Concentrating makes my head hurt . . . . .
If you practice it often enough it will become more natural and you won't have to think about it too hard. If I feel myself getting handsy during a round, I take a deep breathe, relax and focus on turning my chest through the swing.

And Iranian real estate brokers. I'm using one now and when he leaves I have to air out the place for a while.

Come On Zo! You're Italian! You don't shower. That's like saying Christ was born in Italy.......
Why did you go for the 42 degree Sooner?
Edgey
Good question... the left is that of a modern nine iron..
wasn't Sooner saying he had trouble with short wedges? I guess this is for greenside chipping....
or he's starting a set of Chiblick nippers or whatever they are.

I've heard that Scratch Golf makes a $600 chipper. You get to choose the paintfill and grip. They'll even inscribe the words "bit.chmove" on the sole if you want.

Congrats on the 100 poster thread Sooner, and stayed on topic the whole way. Great work!
I appreciate that you are not a "natural" at golf and you have worked very hard to improve. Most of us work hard because we love the game. It is mentaly tough and very frustrating at times. The chipper may work well, I hope it does, but don't give up on the touch side of the game; try and find the same persistance that has allowed you to become a decent ballstriker. The funny thing is with the short game, bunkerplay etc,and even the long game. Your techniques have to be sound but when it comes to actually playing the shot no thinking is required. You just look a the target, stay relaxed, and pull the trigger.

I don't know sooner. I watch plenty of golf and it seems that many pro's have a practice swing the encourages a movement. Who was it a couple of weeks ago that was playing with Els, the other south african but much smaller, that would put his left hand on his chest and make a practice swing. He did it every swing. You have to find some way of getting focused before the swing or maybe a way of letting go. Each of us have different limitations. I found the long bow analogy was an easy one to visualize and feel my chest turning. It works for me.
I would predict that the niblick might work for you for a while but once the honeymoon is over you'd be right back to the same or maybe a different problem. Pure and simple, you can't buy a game.

Charl Schwartzel.
And I'm hoping Sooner can't buy a game until at least after we have our match. :-)

I went out and played with the Niblick for the first time today and I have to say that I really liked it. It is a "feel" type club that I am sure I will get better at, but the great thing is you can't hardly ever hit this club fat. I have discovered I can use it from 75 yards and in, but it is a bit awkward to try to use it any further out.
I golfed an 82 today and was actually 1 under going into the 9th hole before slapping my tee shot out of bounds. The back nine was not a very disciplined nine, so that is why I didn't break 80 again. Still, this was my best day with the putter EVER in my golfing career. If it is a sign of things to come, I will break 80 before this month is done . . . . .
I haven't noticed where bagging gaybrids and chopper irons have stopped any of you from handing out shite, so likely it will not stop me either. Nice flame though . . . .
You are, as far as I can tell, the first one here to threaten to bag the chibbler nipplick or whatever it's called..
is it USGA approved? What about the groove shape and depth? What is its swingweight? Does it meet the 5900 MOI maximum? WHat about the .830 coefficient of return?
if it IS legal, I shall still mock and deride you on video.

It is legal, and I have been through a great deal of mocking already and will no doubt endure more. If I am knocking a couple of strokes off my score with it though, it will all fall on deaf ears, . . . . er, . . . . . eyes.

That is pretty good. I didn't know you had half the resemblance of a golf game.

I can't decide whether to practice more first, or try to catch you quick before you sharpen up too much..
I have a bad feeling about this...

We've all seen the photos Zo. Showering or deoderant would have completed wrecked the whole ambience of the cheap Metlife windbreaker and saddle shoes.
