Just in case you guys aren't aware of what handball is, I found a video for everyone to watch:Can anyone actually envision that as something Larry would be good at?FON
This is handball. I played it at the B level for 10 years, in dozens of singles and doubles tournaments here in San Diego. In a large city like San Diego or New York, there will be only a dozen A class players. A few more B class and every other player never rises above the beginner or C level by winning a C tournament.
I played with Morones a few times. He is from Los Angeles area.
Notice that these good players hit the ball with BOTH hands equally well, sidearm, overhead, back wall, corner, and fist to the ceiling. Those skills take YEARs to develop, hours of practice and work in front of a mirror to teach your "off" hand to mimic what your dominant hand does. It is MUCH harder to learn than the golf swing. If your opponent sees that your off hand side is weaker, you will see ONLY balls hit to that side. That little ball is hard rubber. The gloves are worn ONLY to keep the ball dry--there is no padding in them. Except for the fist shot, the handball "hit" is really a catch and throw, the hand totally relaxed. Learning that is a painful experience, months of bruises.
Notice also that they NEVER take their eyes off the other player and the ball! Turning your back to the opponent behind you is a racketball thing. BTW, a good handball player can easily beat a player with a racketball racket. The handball player simply keeps the ball almost rolling down the backhand sidewall. The racket player can't easily control the ball's speed--and when it comes off the back wall, the handball player kills it a few inches high to the corner.

Larry, I'm going to have to insist that you create a separate handball thread in the Non-Golf Forum. Maybe there will be a lot of handball fans attracted to your new thread. The Paintball thread was wildly popular.

Could we create a Pachinco thread? I had a pachinco game as a kid and I was really good at it.

Never played it. Does it involve making fun of Chinese people that overact?

OR, we could create a separate thread about the golf swing. Useful posts about that are pretty rare in the threads with that title....Some here seem to suffer from ADD, attention span disorder.

I watched handball before. It was 1982 and it was on espn at 3:30 AM. I had insomnia, and only about 15 channels. The handball cured the insomnia.

Again you're posting in the wrong place. This one belongs in the irony thread.

I'm sure Zo would appreciate a Bocce thread also.
Hey Larry,
That guy with the dark hair in the video is so dumb he can't even spell his own name. He put an 'e' in there.

Ever since they suspended Patches DeLuca for supposedly dripping Vitalis from his scalp onto his balls, I've turned my back on the sport.

It's not you playing handball, is it?

Sure you did. And you also already "hit all the fairways and most of the greens" and have a 6 handicap (according to your pivotforpower.com website).

Notice how there is no video of you so much as rallying a ball to yourself...

This guy is about my age-- and hits it out the back of the range! I love it.
Yup and he's powering the club with arm and hand leverage...

I like OCD but I've always preferred OMD and I'm down with OPP.
