I don't have a problem paying a good amount of money for something if I'm going to get the same amount of value in return. In the SC putter case, the price paid is way higher than the value obtained. You pay $300 for a putter that can't outperform another one that cost $79, then that is where the rub lies. If it cost $300, wasn't like anything else in the market, and consistently sank more putts per round, then I'd say go for it. But it's neither of those things. Which means you'd be paying for hype. You could buy the $79 putter and buy a whole lot more ProV1x to fill your bag for the same $$.

One of the best putters I've ever seen used a Ram Zebra putter. Not the one with the taller, more rounded face but the original one. This dude would knock in putts from all over the place and I once watched him shoot a 65 with one. It's one of the best putters of all time and one of the easiest to line up. Personally, my favorite one was the black zebra with the white and grey lines. But, whatever, you're free to choose any of the other wonderful colors they offer such as white/black/grey, grey/black and white/teal/blue for that special lady out there who might give you a little "somethin' somethin' for such a special gift. They also made, for a limited time only, a white one for dudes that was white/grey/black. Hard to find and some people might think you were born to be gay if you bag one. You hear me dog?

Looks similar to the Odyssey tour hot #9. If you like mallet putters get hold of an old Ram Zebra and give it a try. Old school but a very good heavier and well balanced putter. some guys who try them never take them out of the bag again.
Hi Roo, I'm back from the Apple Isle and had a great trip. Top weather, which is important.
I played your home track and was very impressed by it. It had enough length to be a challenge, plenty of variety in the holes and the condition was very good. I got a look at the 13th hole where you got your ace and thought it was a different and quite intimidating hole. You would want to be striking your irons ok when you got to that tee. If you were topping or duffing your irons you would not feel too confident on that tee! That's a big ugly gullly. I hit a five iron off the back tee, hit the green and made a par. I was pretty happy with that.
Glad you had a good time .Thats a good srike with a 5 iron from the back tee OP,as it is all carry. I hit 5 iron on that fateful day from the back of the middle tee bed! How was Lost Farm compared to Barnbougle? I haven't been able to get there yet. Was trying to get there for a belated xmas dinner but it was booked out for months in advance.

Yes it certainly is all carry. I got lucky as my 5 iron bounced on the front edge a metre or so from the right front bunker and ran on up towards the middle of the green.
Lost Farm was very good. Still a new course so the fairways were a little thin and patchy and the greens were sandy and slow. That is to be expected of course and when it matures a little all that will change. The course is spectacular though in terms of it's scenic appeal. Amazing views and vistas. The view from the clubhouse was absolutely spectacular. There are some well travelled golfers in our group and they all agreed they have not seen a better view of a course with the cooastline behind anywhere in the world. Good variety of holes and it is different but not necessarily better than Barnbougle. It was flatter in places with a gentle start but it soon got demanding. Some of the holes are wickedly tough. We are all looking forward to playing it again next year in our yearly pilgramage. It was crowded when we were there and we had to wait more than 40 mins. after our alloted tee time to hit off. They only really have just got up and running so they need to get better organised. There were about 6 groups booked at 8.50!!
