to all the NOOBS at GR
you will see lots of inside jokes on here: if you want to know what it is ask me:

here are some key words to let you know you are in the midst of a GR joke

    miller lite
    jeff maggert
    gorrilla
    js
    cargo shorts
mizuno- anything that says mizuno, which is god by the way
    js's mother
anerexic canadian- which is js by the way
putting stroke... which also ties into cargo shorts

all of these things are nostalgia and you should be aware of it so that you can fully appreciate the greatness that is JS's golf forum....I mean GR...

Have you guys been making fun of me this whole time? As a noob, I'm shocked and offended.
Oh well, I'll just jump in my sweet 3 series beemer (not the 330 or M) and go groove some hybrids off the mats to get my mind off it. I find that iron covers are really great when I have to cram my clubs into my sweet-ass chick magnet of a car.

    PS
    Ping makes the best irons

This is my first time posting, but I've been lurking for a while. I've noticed a lot of these things and figured it was some kind of inside joke.

You guys mind letting us noobs in on some of them? Start with the cargo shorts thing.

This is laughable. I'm clearly not Horseballs. I've never admitted to being HB twice or post similar to him in any way whatsoever.

Why thank you, Omen and CP. It's nice to be appreciated.
And a hearty welcome to Bart C and the new Canuck. You can never have too many Canucks is what I always say. Sure they're a little slow and have trouble with basic concepts, but they are jolly, well-meaning people. Terrible musicians though. Nickleback? Ugh.

Umm, Rockstar may be the best song on the radio right now.. At least when you throw in the video.

I would take that to heart, but for your scorn of Nickleback over Celine Dion...what's wrong with you man?

Celine is traditionally our national symbol of falure in all things artful...it's just wrong to receive an insult that doesn't include Ms. No-talent.

Don't get me started on how terrible Nickleback is. Seriously, I've got a lot of work to get done in the next few hours and I don't need to waste another hour detailing what a bunch of no talent sellouts those soul-less bastards are.

Celine's the scorn of the country?

Or Bryan Adams? You didn't think we forgot about him did you?

I think Nickleback is your new "symbol of failure in all things artful" to a lot of us that listen to rock radio. We're not subjected to Celine nearly as often as we were ten years ago.

Even in Australia there is a popular radio show that devotes at last one segment every show to how bad Nickleback is. Some of the album reviews have been serious pieces of comedic art. In Australia they are always used as a cheap 'go to' gag in any sort of comedy routine. When it comes to dissing these annoyances, you can never go to the well too often, you will always get an approving laugh. Believe me, outside of Canada they are universally hated.

P.S. When listing bad things to come from Canada you forgot KD Lang, although she is obviously nowhere near as boring or bad as Nickleback.
