Stricker vs Mahan should be a good match tom... also another interesting match is Boo and Sergio (bet Serg checks his score a couple times)...

True. Ernie craps his pants just thinking about Tiger.
He's probably relieved he didn't make far enough in match play to get Tiger-owned.

I think Oberholser takes Tiger out today 2 and 1. Tiger looked very rusty yesterday.

Yeah, 7 birdies and an eagle is pretty crappy. I sure hope he can get that putter working today.

BTW, how annoying is JB Holmes preshot routine? You could tell by Tiger's body language that he was thinking WTF dude.

This is so true. I didn't get to watch any coverage yesterday, but I remember JB's bullsh!t at the FBR. A dozen practice swings followed by twenty false starts stepping into his stance. His new nickname should be Rainman.

Jb's routine needs to go asap. They need to start Dq'ing guys for slow play. Fat fuking hacks at home see this and try to emulate it on the course. I am then forced to slam them in the fuking skull with my sandwedge. Yet, I am the one punished for this. It really is a sick and twisted society we live in.

If you think Tiger played well yesterday you must not have watched the match. His first drive was OB and his drive on 13 ended up unplayable in the desert also. How many fairways did he hit? Maybe half of them? He made some long clutch putts down the stretch to win. 5 under over the last 5 holes along with Holmes' chokejob was just enough.

I think JB took about 30 practice swings when he had that little bush hindering his backswing. I hope I never have to watch him paired with Tiger again.

Ernie showed up to this tournament because he is a great math play player. For those out there who follow any bit of golf would know this. He hasnt had alot of sucess in the Accenture WGC but over in the European Tour he has an incredible record in the World Match Play Championships, he has won it 7 times since 1994, so the reason why Ernie bothers showing up to this tournament?, because he is one of the best match play players in the world.

Notice how I said "at this tournament." What is his stellar matchplay record at THIS tournament?

I know how to read, and my reply still anwers your question if you know how to read. He shows up to this tournament becasue he is a good match play player. Same format so the HSBC, ovbisouly different players, but its no fluke that he won it 7 times, because he is a good match play player. So that is why he shows up to this tornament.

Isn't the HSBC played at Wentworth where Ernie lives a good part of the year? I'm saying there is obviously something more than just bad luck why Ernie sucks it up every year at this tournament. Hasn't he skipped it in the past because even he knows he's going to suck it up?

Come on SITS, this is match play. I think Tiger's game plan was to try and rattle BJ by matching his driving distance. Tiger was really going after his drives and a few got a way from him. You rarely see him going after drives like that in stroke play, and I bet he takes a more conservative approach today vs a shorter hitter.

JB's pre-shot routine was making me seasick, especially the way the camera guys would zoom in right close up on him as he was wobbling his way to address. That, combined with the super upright OTT swing JB has must've been really driving Tiger nuts.

Tiger's driving was tough to watch too. Every time he tried to step on it, it looked like he was taking a seat at the dinner table on his downswing. I wanted to get the man a chair a few times. He looked like late 90's Tiger out there. His putting was frickin' amazing though. JB's gut putter couldn't keep up.

    why did toms withdraw?

J.B. Holmes wont be around long: i am going to the next tournament he is in and everytime he steps off i am going to shoot him with a slingshot.

Bernhard Langer is going to get shot with a 30.30... who is slower than that phucking guy?

    Omen....

No one has mentioned CH3 stuffing that 3 wood and canning the eagle to force it to 18 and then birdieing to force extra holes finally toppling Ames?

that 3 wood landed like a butterfly with sore feet... sorry couldn't think of a bettter analogy so this oldie will have to do.

Nice job Omen, you caused Mountain Dew to shoot out my nose with the mental image of a BB nailing JB in the face. Well done sir
