New Guy... with new sticks.. and pictures...

I thought I would make my first post a good one, you see the post man showed up today...

Just got my first set of Mizzis! MP 57s... I hit them last week and fell in love. Now they are mine.

New guy stats: 21 yrs old, been playing again for a year and a half after a five year break. Still hackin for now, but I will be a 14 by July. Other than that... here are the new sticks

Later Biotches! (swearing is the cool thing to do on this board, right?)

Are you sure you're not Omen's younger brother?

Oops! What am I saying. Did I spot a hybrid in there?

    Nice sticks!
I chose the road less traveled.

Now where the f#ck am I?

Welcome! Better put some smudges on those clubs before you start predicting your handicap in advance. Just a thought.

By the way, I plan on being in the US Open in July after my handicap drops to a +6 from a 0. I'll wave to y'all!

    Thanks guys!

Just got back from the Simulator... nothing like some digital forgiveness to boost the confidence. Either way if I can play like that all summer I will be changing that 14 to a 8. haha

Thanks for the words of wisdom collegegolfer... the MPs are officially now USED and have horseshit matburn all over them. For some reason I couldnt get a clean divot

Those irons look pretty snazzy, I have to admit, I wish I had the luxury of trying out new gear all the time, damn

I bought the Adams Boxer last summer... at the time I was deciding between that and the TM rescue. I THOUGHT that I liked the Adams better when I was making the decision, but I really like it less and less as I progress. I like the ballflight, but I find it harder to place shots with it every time I play. Overall I still like the Boxer, but I will opt for somthing with a little more player feedback in the future..

    Suggestions?

I' m a Cleveland man myself so I go with the Halo's, but based on the reviews I've read the Hogan CFT Ti with Aldila NV or NVS 85 Shafts are awesome. I've got a friend who has one in a 19* with the NV 85 Stiff shaft and he loves it. He is by far the best ball striker I've ever known. In competition, I once played along side him as he shot a 28 on the back nine at our home course. He was 62 at the time and just average length off the tee, but it didn't matter if it was a 4 iron or a 8 iron every shot was dead at the stick and inside 10 feet. So when he gives me his seal of approval on a product I take it as great advice.

Congratulations on the Mizunos. In my opinion, nothing feels as nice or looks as gorgeous as Mizuno irons.
    Seldom right, never in doubt......

Take it from me, although I've never shot a 28..

the new HiBOre XLS hybrids are fantastic. Dead straight, easy to line up, great ballflight.

I got the 16 deg and replaced a five wood with it... no regrets... great club.

Have you had a hit of the XLS Driver yet Dave?

From what I've heard they are THE best driver out there at the moment.

I've been playing the XLS 10.5* DRAW Driver about 20 rounds now. My old power fade I had with the 8.5* 460Ti is now a DRAW without any swing change at all with the XLS. The 3* closed face and heel weighting do the job well. I'm not really any longer with the XLS but my home course strongly favors a draw so i'm very pleased. I'll keep my 460ti for other courses that favor a fade. Mine retailed for 300.00 at EDWIN WATTS GOLF, this is my first time trying any version of a draw set up club and couldn't be happier.

Thanks for the info Strick. I don't think this one would be for me as I hit draws already and my home course demands a fade on a couple of holes. Do they come in non draw models too?

NaH; They do come in a standard face with neutral weighting and the TOUR version is 2* open face with Toe weighting.

What the hell isi with the adams hybrids? those things suck so much, if you can afford those irons then spend some more and get some good hybrids.

I just called 911. The fire trucks should be showing up anytime now. This thread is so flaming I was worried it might turn into an inferno and burn the whole place down.

Haha, I'm a little out of the loop right now, I just changed it, but didnt change the title, I will change it now, and the hybrid takes it out there about 235ish, so the 5 wood is out.
