Big Break Ka’anapali - Place your bets!

My my my, oh my, quite the Cast this time.

I'll cut right to the chase, my early pick is Kim Welch to take it all.

I'll miss Nikki, I always thought she stood at attention just enough for primetime TV but I've yet to decide on my "looker" for this season. There is potential all over my big screen here! New hosts with Sparks back playing competitive golf. Some new dude too, they really need Cellini back IMO. I guess he's moved on to bigger and better, oh well.

Haven't seen enough of the course yet to judge but I'm addicted to this series... more from my love of Golf and knowing how a little pressure can impact play than anything important programming-wise.

Enjoy the new season, Make a prediction if you dare.

I didn't play that course, but I drove past it about 20 times. It looked flat and pretty uninteresting. I won't be watching unless it resembles soft-core porn, which is probably still a couple seasons away.

How can you not watch such a compelling show relating to Golf? It's the best show on the Golf Channel period! Men, Women, Hobo's it wouldn't matter. It's all about the pressure of competition for the fairly close to average Joe. Not to mention the ability to access their doability. Yes, that's a word.

The only NAME I noticed was the wicked one Lori. The other eleven I was too busy checkin' out to notice their names. Give it an episode or two to let their personalities be exposed, then I'll pick a favorite.

I like the show, but it's getting way too dramatic for me. It's like a mixture of Survivor, The Bachelor, & Road Rules.

I'll have to root for Christina Lecuyer, since she's from my town. Not bad looking either.

I'll put you down for too "scared" to commit early.

Obviously favorites will change as players drop out. Who is the hottest atm? I confuse the blondes, especially early while they were in swimsuits. Butterface does nothing for me although I admire her Euro self confidence about nudity. We Americans are WAYYYY too uptight. It must be our Britishness lingering.

My bet is on Kim Welch to win as well. She seems to be the most talented based on the first day. Christina looks to have some game too. Lori looks to have a talent for loud motorcycles and Arby's.

On the serious note, I'm picking "Be as good as you look, baby!" girl.

I'll be sad to see when the girl who looked fantastic in the bikini top while being blind in the pool is gone. The girl from the West Palm Beach area is also cute.

Does anyone else think the tall brunette who was really cranking the ball (competitors say she hits it as far as a man) kind of, well... Looks a bit man like? Some camera angles weren't very flattering and kinda made me wonder if she's post-op.

the girl who said "Be as good as you look, baby!" got on my nerves, and that Lori girl come on just because your old doesn't mean you have to be a #@$#$! The girl that can "hit as far as a man" is named Kim Welch, I heard on the sneak peak episode that she can hit 300+ yards, but I have to see it to believe it.

One thing for sure is she needs to lose that "head-wrap crap" That thing would, should, could seriously mess with her swing.

Both girls up for elimination stayed! Incredible really for two to par two holes or better (I know it's just 2 shortish pars) with that kind of pressure. That was pretty cool, then again they need to thin the herd a bit or the season will never end.

Kim came through as class yet again, plus her sneak peek of next weeks shot looks incredible.

I haven't tuned in to this thus far. Is it worth watching? Do these girls have any real golf talent or are we looking at some all hybrid bags here? Are any of the girls truly hot (several times better looking than that Stina Sternberg dike wannabe)? Is there any chance of hot girl on girl action at some point?

There could be a chance.. The big boobed girl is still in it, and she's rooming with another hot chick. Maybe we could get some post-shower wearing only a towel action.

That chick Kim threw a dart for her shot too. She's probably the front runner to win this thing.

I will always be in awe of big boobed girls who excel at golf. How in the bloody hell is Christina Kim able to hit the ball at all? In a way it puts Mickelson's and Monty's careers in a more favorable light.

I for one would be in favor of having a separate women's tour only for girls with big tatas.

No surprise that Cirbie is the first to go. She was kinda cute though. Wish it was Lorie instead. She uglies up the set in more ways than one.

Adrienne, Elizabeth and Dana are gone too. Adrienne and Elizabeth had more game than about half those that are left. Adrienne was actually one of the favorites and I hated to see her go. Elizabeth was a cutie so we lost some hotness on the set. But that is the breaks of the Big Break.

Lori is such a stereotype it laughable. Not a bitter dyke at all. I am kinda liking Courtney these days. She shows some tasty cleavage in that dress she wears in some of her recent little comment clips.

The show lost a hottie last night. Came down between Courtney and Tina and Tina is out. I like Courtney better but wish it would have been someone else besides Tina. Christine is a piece of work but I love those Ta Ta's. Kinda sounds like the whole group is going to gang up on her.

Christina Kim loves to yell at her ball as soon as it leaves the clubface. I blame her for that trend since she annoys the hell out of me. The board won't let me put more than 5 photos in, so you're a little SOL man. I'll post the chicks who are gone since that's exactly 5 people.

Still haven't seen the show. I'm waiting for the tops to come off.

Since I'd guess these ladies don't lead the golf world in talent, are you sure they aren't yelling SH!T....SH!T!

All of these girls pretty much suck. (At golf) If the Asian Kim chick doesn't win, then she must really f up cause she's about the only one that has talent.

The men haven't been any more impressive on this show either. Even scarf girl Kim said she had never been that nervous before and she was first team Pac-10 in college. Very tough to perform under the cameras. The winner is usually not the most talented, it's the one that handles pressure the best.

"Choke, choke!!!!" I yell that more than I yell "sit". Say "choke" enough and you won't need your ball to sit.

Exactly right. This is not real golf. You get one chance to make good on a lot of these shots. Just imagine if a lot of the shots you took meant a chance to win or go into a playoff or go home. You don't have 18 holes to make up your screw ups. They've already lost a couple of the best players off the show. So I don't think one could say none of these girls have game. Some do. Look at little Susan Choi. She has a good short game but on 18 holes most of these girls would beat her handily. Yet in Big Break she has gone a long way on luck and a good short game. I gotta admit, Big Break is one of my favorite shows.

Can someone post some pictures of these ladies? I need to pull (not that way) for a winner without actually watching this crappy show.
Christina is definitely the on for you HB. She is pretty hot, and if you like Rory Sabatinis attitude I think you will like hers.

Sadly Courtney is gone...and just as the cleavage started to really come out. Sure skillwise she couldn't win but she was stacked.

Sam is looking to be playing better each week, if only she can control her nerves. I'm really tiring of Lori and her petty antics. Sure Christina needs a lesson in humanity but Lori isn't the one to be giving it.

It is indeed sad. The more I looked at her the hotter Courtney got. They need to contrive a way to get her back.

Who wears scarfs? You mean the French chick? Yeah, Lori needs to go. She tried to psyche out Christina and ended up psyching herself out.

There is something so inherently hot about Kim, I don't know what it is. She's not the prettiest face on the show, she doesn't have the best body, but holy crap I can't take my eyes off of her...especially when she rocks the head wrap thing and gets all quiet and confident (read: b!tchy) on the course. If she gets knocked out I will protest and quit watching, just like I do whenever Don Donatello gets knocked out.

She doesn't dress very sexy so one wonders what she is hiding under there. Basically I think she has a very athletic body but not the soft curves like a Courtney or a Tina. She ain't bad though. I hope she stays around. This knocking the hot babes off the show has got to stop.

Can we just vote Lori off to be replaced by Courtney who can resume the tanning of her cleavage? We should get at least one chance to bring her back. She originally did nothing for me but this last show or two she must have dressed differently.... she "moved" me.

I'll miss Sam and Courtney's cleavage. Courtney's more, for sure. I'll miss the first episode with her in a bikini top and in a pool, bouncing around with no idea where she was going.

She was pretty doomed from the get go since her husband wasn't there. To me it sounds like he does the majority of the club selection and strategizing, cause on several shots she kept saying she was wishing he was there cause he'd.. I have no idea, I'd normally focus somewhere else when she talked.

I like Kim shes got a well rounded game and long off the tee but she cant putt. On the other hand Susan is a fearless golfer and you always gotta watch out for someone like that and shes proved to be pretty clutch at times. But the sexy Sophie is no newbie on the course and shes probably been the most clutch of all the girls.

Yeah for sure Kim is going to win. Susan gets lucky a lot and is not mature enough and mentally tough enough to win.

I was actually bummed there was no episode this week. Would've been perfect sports week for me. Euro 2008 just kicked off, NBA playoffs are on, US Open is good to go in my old home town and I was ready for some Big Break action.... Oh well, plenty of other stuff going on.

It did make for a boring night of TV on Tues.

I reckon since they were going wall-to-wall with U.S. Open coverage they canned it for the week. It's not like I needed to see those same U.S. Open reports four of five times each night. I'm still pulling for Christina for two reasons: She's hot and every time she wins Lori gets pissed off. Like I said before Susan could survive until the end but probably won't beat the better players over 18 holes. She is cute though and I like that little hip wiggle she does when she gets excited.

Did anybody else see the latest installment? God I want to strangle that ***** Lorie. I am so happy Christina survived the onslaught. The only justice now if for Christian to win the whole thing when Lori chokes on a 30 inch putt.

Lori is no good, plays dirty pool. Christina sucks most of all though, remember she rooted for that one girl to choke.

No my friends, the correct answer is Kim. Kim must win and most assuredly will win. Sophie can win too because she posed nude. Total respect for nudity.

I have no problem with Kim and Sophie. They're cool. I just love Christina's feistiness and hot little body. So she made one slip. I forgive her. And besides it annoys Lori for Christina to still be around. I predict a big turn around next week for Christina and for everybody to turn on Lori. Lori is in Sophie's doghouse now too.

Lori is cheap - plain and simple. Calling Christina for tamping down a divot behind her ball... if you watch the replay Christina still had her ball in her hand when she did that, she was just replacing the divot Kim made, which in reality should have been Kim's job. Christina was unfairly docked those 4 pts, and she should have been the one to win the $20,000 if it weren't for that cheap move by Lori.

I'm still rooting for Kim to win, but I hope Christina really puts the cow out to pasture next week when they go head to head. I've seen enough of the mind games. Time to play some golf.

Somebody toss Lori a Melissa Etherage CD and an Arby's sandwich and tell her to hit the road. I really hope she walks tonight.

I think it's gonna be Sophie who wins it all. Kim's putter just isn't being too friendly to her. Sophie's not long, but she knows how to get around the course pretty well and she's made some pretty clutch putts.

Pam choked pretty poorly.... But yeah, Christina didn't represent AT ALL. She'll look back and regret that finish to 1st Lori and then Sophie. That was a lot of experience she faced and cold shoulders to boot, not a fun situation in any way.

Well "The Beast" hs been slayed. The beautiful part is she did herself in and on something as simple as putting. What a "choke" job on the greens. Her attitude was much better with Christina off the show I must admit. Too late for me to care about her though, I say good riddance.

Kim seems to be getting a bit more cocky in the interviews. My pick Sophie will be tough to beat. They were dead even in last night's competition. Should be a good battle if they can handle the pressure.

Kim will annihilate Sophie in the final, I predict, unless she pulls a Lori with the putter.

Kim needs to smarten up and use her length to her advantage though. She's made some poor use of her strength throughout this series. It will be interesting to watch, for sure.

I think all the pressure will be on Kim. Sophie has tons of experience on the Women's Euro tour as well as full exemption over there. Winning this would be just a perk for her. But Kim needs this to have status on the Futures tour as well as the one LPGA event. Michelle Wie is proving that length isn't everything.

Length never WAS anything - except for an advantage for players of equal handicap. Especially if the short games are equal (Michelle Wie has no short game, if you hadn't noticed up until today). Any limp wristed (but not injured wristed ;)) moose licker can have a short game if they work at it. It is a unique talent to hit the long ball which not everyone can learn. Nobody can argue that a green in one is better than a green in two provided both players one-putt. Eagle vs birdie - argument is futile.

I don't think Kim will win due to her abundance of length - I think she will win due to Sophie's LACK of length. Lack of length = lack of scoring opportunities. Sophie needs to hole >20' putts a whole heckuva lot to beat Kim, IMHO.

You can listen to the battle cries of the short hitters every time they face an overwhelmingly long adversary - and those battle cries often tend to become excuses for failure at the end of the day.

    We will see...

You always been on TM's staff Freak? Just noticed the brand loyalty and am curious but of course kidding.

Unless something stellar happens to Sophie's game Kim will win. Sophie has hung tough but can't possibly keep up with some of those clutch and timely shots she has produced. I think she is all spent.

The brand loyalty I think TM deserves from me. I have nothing but good things to say about TM's customer service and products (for the mostpart). The clubs I'm bagging now are the best clubs I've ever used. The driver is sick, even if it's a couple years old - flies very straight and long, and it breaks balls. The hybrid does everything I could ever want it to. The irons are just exquisite to strike and are superior to anything I've ever tried - both in terms of feel and performance. The wedges blend right in with the iron set and have excellent sole grinds and bounce setup which provide me with EXACTLY what I'm looking for. The putter is the sickest of all - the best roll I've ever seen (thanks to the insert) and it prevents my stroke from getting "funky" with the face balance.

    All money well spent.

Yeah - as if Sophie hasn't gotten b!tchy or cocky on this show already... Remember breakfast with Christina??? Forgetting to replace the pin... TWICE in a row?

If anyone deserves to fall flat on their face it's Sophie. That woman annoys me almost as much as Lori did. The level of gamesmanship I've seen from her (and Lori) on this series is IMO very unsportsmanlike.

I find Sophie very entertaining. Kim aggravates me when she could have driven a green, instead she hits 4 iron and leaves herself an awkward shot. Seems afraid to take advantage of her one real advantage, her length.

Sophie's short game is much better than Kim's.

    I think Sophie will win.

Final Tonight.... smack talk time. Hopefully it's competitive throughout, I hate when a Match is over before it's really begun. If someone goes 4 down by the 6th hole I just may tune out!

Kim will win! Just as stated in my 1st post. Was a pretty easy pick, length makes this game a lot easier.

Congrats to the Kim selectors. Sophie played poorly. I think they should eliminate the in show interviews on the final episode. It was too obvious who was up and who was down. I'd rather they just show more of the actual play. Anybody with me on this?

Sophie was grim throughout the show, not any different during final round interviews.. Kim was kind of wacked, so I guess we could have known from that...

I can't believe Sophie was a pro tour player in Europe, she's so short with everything.. I guess chipping and putting is the whole deal over there... can't win like that on the LPGA.

I'm with you on that. Kim was obviously the more cheerful one in the interviews and it did reveal the ending somewhat if you were paying careful attention. But what really revealed the ending was...

A pic I saw of Kim's bag a week or so ago on golfwrx that was stocked full of Adams gear aside from the Ping wedges.

    Dead giveaway.

I still picked Kim to win from the outset though - if she were a better putter it would have been even easier to predict - however, she putted lights out in the final. Kim, Sam, and Susan had the best attitudes, but Kim seemed the most confident. I never saw Sophie making the final in this one. I actually thought after episode one that it would be a Dana/Kim final. At least I got the winner right.

Next season let's title this thread "Big Breakdown", the show has earned such a title.
