Wilson Ci6 irons, anyone have thoughts on these?

I know the were rated well in Golf Magazine a couple years ago, but I was wondering if anyone here has some first hand impressions of these irons.

They can be had for $200 all over the place; was wondering if I should take a flier on them.

I am looking for some irons that I can use until I get down to single digits (if that ever happens). Currently an (18) but iron play is better than my handicap implies.

I have heard they are strong lofted and .5" longer than std. thus making them longer than most irons, but also requiring me to get a 48* PW. I also like the look of thinish topline for GI type iron.

Let me know what you guys think.

I'm looking for set for $200 or thereabouts. I played a round with a loaner set of Ci6 about a year ago and I think they are one of the most underrated clubs around. Good feel, quality TT steel shaft, minimal progressive offset, and great look at address. My only restraint is the 1/2 over in length which I will probably cut down, then add tape for swing weight. As for the lofts, my current set are weaker "player" lofts so I will have to remember to play Wilson 7 where I play my current Nike 6 iron, etc. I already have a Vokey 48*/6* to serve as a gap wedge.

I have been playing them for around 2 years and really enjoy them, I am not good enough for blades but could not stand the look of the "game improvment irons" so i went with these and it has been a great comprimise. they are a little longer and stronger lofted which is good as I am 6 feet 1 and did not need to get them customer made, had the loft and lie angles corrected and away i went, I do carry a 47* 588 clevland wedge to even out the set as the PW is 44*.
