21 or 24 deg. Titleist PT585 Hybrid ???
I am ready to depart with my original 22 deg Taylormade Rescue. The shaft tip is just too soft - inconsistent and too many pulls. I bought the new 906F4s in 13.5 and 18.5 a few months ago with the Reg. NV shafts, and love them. Want to get the same shaft in a 585, but am wondering which loft, 21 or 24, will be best to replace my Taylormade. I hit it about 165 yards. Thoughts ?

I always go long on club choice and choke down for shorter shots. I have a 19 deg hybrid that a full length swing hits about 210 and a chokedown hits about 195-200. I had the grip taped extra thick at the bottom half so when I choke down I'm not gripping too narrow a handle. Two clubs in one.
In the old days there would be a problem with lack of height, but the hybrid hits the ball very high even when swinging easy.

I'd go for the 21*. That's a pretty versatile loft. I usually keep a hybrid in the bag ranging from 18* - 22*, but nothing higher than that. My current one is 18* and I think I'll be hard pressed to take that one out anytime soon. Like Dave P says, get the stronger loft, and you can choke down and play different combos with one club.
In My Bag (for now):
Taylormade Burner TP 10.5*
Tour Edge Exotics CB2 15*
Tour Edge Exotics XCG 18*
Mizuno MX-23 5-PW
Vokey Raw 50*, Vokey SM 54*, Vokey SM 58*
Yes! Tracy II
Bridgestone B-330-S

yeah heres another vote for the 21* its seems like it fits the gap best...

21* as well. I didn't think a consensus was possible around here, was I wrong?

A 21* degree would probably fit your distance gaps the best. I'd go with that. BTW the 585 is an awesome hybrid I love mine

Thanks for the feedback guys. I hit a 21 deg into a net the other day - it certainly felt sweet (same as my 904s). The reason I am torn between a 21 and 24 deg is that my 904 5-wood is an 18.5. I hit it around 185-190, and want this for around 165-170 yards. Probably, I can use the 21 and just grip down a bit.
