Let's call NAH's bluff on hybrids

It's time we called NAH's bluff on hybrids.

At least Omen presents some semi-plausible reasons why he doesn't like hybrids but NAH is all hot air and bluster (like most Aussie's).

We all know you don't need hybrids because you play a par 62 pitch n' putt and the longest iron approach shot you hit is 9 iron. You don't need to replace those 'hard to hit long irons' cause you don't need long irons.

    Your setup:

Driver (for all those long 200+ yard par 4's)
5 wood (for those 180 yard par 4's where driver would be too big)
7 iron (for that 120 yard par 3)
9 iron (for your second shot on that 320 yard par 5)
PW (for all other approach shots)
GW 52* (for all other approach shots)
SW 56* (for all other approach shots)
LW 60* (for the bump and run shot)
Reverse grip putter (so the other Faggs can identify you when their Gaydar is malfunctioning)

When you start playing some real golf courses NAH we'll let you back into the hybrid debate but until then I request that the moderators ban NAH from all future hybrid discussions.

stunt double in Brokeback Mountain whichever way you go.
I thought Nah and Omen were the stunt doubles in Brokeback Mountain.

What kills me about those two is they embrace all of the new technology in golf (balls, wedges, Drivers) yet claim to believe a hybrid is gay. A modern day hybrid is the same size as the original metal wood, whats the big deal about using a club that can improve your game.

Anyone who brags about having made eagles on a 265 meter (290 yard) drivable par 4 hole has no grounds to bash someone about using a hybrid.

Likewise, anyone who has a gay flippy wrist swing has no grounds to bash a player using a hybrid.

ok this was funny for awhile but now it's just getting old...let's face the facts omen is an insecure 30 year old that thinks he has kids with a women but really she's been sleeping with your neighbor...he knows this but refuses to face the truth because he knows he'll never find a women that will take him for who he is. Therefore he sits on golfreview all day masturbating to pictures of 2 irons because he thinks that will make him a real man...can we end with that?

The reason replacing long irons with hybrids is gay, is due to technology. Even today's blades are so much easier to hit than yesteryear. But hardly anyone plays blades anymore, so today's cavity backed irons are even easier to hit than they've ever been. If you're having to replace your long irons, assuming they were made within the last 15 years, with hybrids is indeed gay. What's next? iron sets of 7-PW? It's all about marketing, wanting you to buy more crap. There is no way a fairway wood or hybrid is more accurate than a long iron.

I have a hybrid, but I also have a full set of irons. Not that LPGA 4-PW shiite. My hybrid is 15*, I chose it over the standard 3 wood due to the shorter shaft and shape of the clubhead. Plus I knock this living shiite out of it. But I sure as shiite don't have 2 more of them to replace my easy arse to hit i/3 blades. If you can't hit today's long irons with any consistency, why not try out for gymnastics & try to get the gold back from the Chinese? Don't forget your pink tights....
Be glad we aren't getting all of the government we're paying for.

I bagged the two iron when I carried
zings... they ARE easy... easy as hybrids...

but the thing is, I tried hybrids before I was brought up to speed on their gayness, before I joined here and discovered logging on was like ccoming out of the closet..

and I liked them. Your 15 G10 reminds me of my 16 HiBore XLS... long and very controllable. High flight, can get it to settle on a green, but can hit it low into the wind when necessary...

in short, I value my game and my scores too much to flinch away from my favorite clubs just because someone else on the forum is hoping to have sex with me.

Dave - Isn't there quite a gap between your 19* and your 4i? There's about a 30 yard gap between the my 20* cobra and my 4i. I find it interesting that you have loaded up your bag with long clubs. You're not exactly short off the tee. What's your theory?

i'm not involved with any of that. If they are removing it it's because it sucks like all of your posts.

I imagine it lacked any wit, was quee.r in ways only you are familiar, and was destitute of any potential: which means your growing even more pathetic with each post.

how's that whole thread that only you are posting on going for you?

    Glad you asked.

I can choke down on the 19* and hit it 195, or let it out and go 210+. It's very predictable.

That means the 19* is really two clubs. And with the chokedown swing, it really isn't much more than a few yards past my four iron.

It flies higher than one would think, and lands very softly. I was playing in an interclub match today and got stuck under a tree about 190, up hill, to the green. had to hit a screaming low hook to get it onto the surface, and it worked. I choked down on it, played the 195 shot but with lots of turnover, and got it out from under the tree and up the hill and 20 ft. from the pin. It stopped on the green, which a turned over three iron would NOT have done.

so my 16* hybrid is like a five wood, and the 19* is like a two and three iron.

    Coverage. :-) No gap.

This guy says my bag is too full of 'long clubs' (hybrids), so I should lighten it up by.... getting some hybrids....?
