my advice is don't bother. Unless you send it back to the mfr it'll just look cheesy. Besides it's earned every bit of scrubiness it's earned. If you took a look a Ben Crenshaws old putter that he uses you'd see a putter that's never been refinished. A putter looks better when it looks well worn.

If you want the original finish back you should send it back to Titleist.
If you just want it to look good you should look up a gunsmith in the phone book.
I had a black Taylor Made putter a few years ago that started looking pretty bad. I found a gunsmith and he baked a layer of Moly Coat on it and it looked incredible. I'm not sure what Moly Coat is made up of, but it's a baked on finish and they can blend it to any color you want.

My Pro Plat Newport Mid-Slant went back to Titleist 3 weeks ago, $75 for the recondition. Was pretty beat up... we'll see how good the job is. They said 6 to 8 weeks turnaround. I don't suppose you wanna wait for my feedback, right?
