Left arm position @ the Top

I've been told by many that I swing too flat and after taking some video from down the line I would have to say that it would have to be the understatement of the year! In looking at various pro swing sequences (down the line) I noticed that most of them have their left arm direction pointing at or just beyond of the ball. Meaning if at the top, you drew a line from the left hand to the left shoulder and beyond it would point either directly at or just beyond of the ball. I'm I correct on this? I know this probably sounds like a newbie question and I'm probably stating the obvious but is this a general rule of thumb? I haven't read anything specific about it. CollegeGolfer said I have a "strange low finish position" and that is probably why.

If your swing is flat I always have people work on keeping the club down the target line on the back swing. Line up to something in the distance. Put a tee in the ground about 2-3 feet ahead of the ball and about 3 feet behind the ball. Your club should start back on line with the tee behind the ball...keep it on that line for as long as possible. This will keep you from dropping inside and getting flat (or should). Or stick the basket the range balls come in behind your target line. Take video, watch it, play around with the positions of the tees/basket. Be sure to take a video of your "normal" swing so you have something to compare it to.

most pros will have their hands above their shoulders, looking down the line, the old farts on the chopper tour have their hands outside their shoulders b/c they no longer have the flexibiity...

you already realize that you have way too much hip turn, this is also giving you a real shallow swing plane
