    Are broomhandle putters gay?

    Are broom handle putters gay?

Whilst I despise them I realise that only a GR Poll will give the definitive answer as to whether or not they are gay.
I chose the road less traveled.

Now where the f#ck am I?

I have to vote in the affirmative I'm afraid. While players with the yips are to be pitied and not pilloried there is no excuse for having one in the bag.
One vote for as gay as Camp Freddy.

"ANYTHING that I don't have in my bag is gay. NOTHING in my bag is gay." It's that simple, and this applies to everyone on GR, and the public as general. Everyone simply needs to recite my mantra, and the whole world will be happy......
    Seldom right, never in doubt......

Gay people usually have a better sense of what looks good than us straight people. I don't know why but it seems to be the case. And long putters look ridiculous so that goes against being gay.

That's why, unfortunately for me, you may have something there with the Scotty. But I couldn't pick that option since I'm bagging one.

The number 3 option should start with "Even more gay....".

I do not know about the homosexual vibes of the broom putters, but they certainly are for tools. Gay people would probably play with graphite shafted wedges.

Hmm ... interesting results. We have amassed 7 votes which makes the results scientific and conclusive although not yet final. It's a close run thing at the moment. The jury is still out as to whether they are gay but it's fairly conclusive that broom handles are definitely only for DB's.

A Scotty Cameron broomstick putter makes Camp Freddy seem quite butch in comparison.

Broomsticks are an admission of failure at putting. Just like Adams irons mean you have accepted the fact that death is coming soon.

The putter Rodney Dangerfield used in Caddyshack was more in line with the spirit of the game.

Too quick again Kiwi, results suggest they are no more gay than left hand low putting, aka Harrington, Furyk etc etc

To quote my late Scottish uncle. "Back in my day, if you were gay meant you were happy. But, if you were queer, then you were a bloody queer"

That means they are still definitely gay, BTW how could you leave Not a Hacker off that list?

Go back and do your research. Horseballs sums it up best but you may want to go back and read the entire thread to get the proper context. Also strong contributions from Poe4soul and Neverman despite NAH's protestations.
