Putter Head Caught Dings

I let someone tried my putter few days ago. That fokker accidentally knocked the pin with the putter head. I noticed some some dings. #$%^#$%. Actually, is it common to have dings on the putter head ? especially those of soft steel ?

I have taken the paintfill off my putter. Now my putter is raw without paint just like my irons.

PS, it's common knowledge that putting your clubs in your signature is a b!tchmove.

It is a well known fact that the best way to protect your putter is to mount it in a glass trophy cabinet above the mantle piece and never let it leave the house. You should only take it out once a month to polish it. This is also true of Mizuno blades. If you occasionally feel the urge to putt with it just make sure you only putt with it on the carpet in your lounge.
