    Your nightmare bag

Although we haven't had one for a while we used to get a lot of 'Dream Bag' threads where posters would list their dream setup if money wasn't an issue.

It might be for example Titleist driver, Taylormade Fairway woods, Mizuno irons, Cleveland wedges, SC putter.

Looking at some of the fugly clubs that come out from all the OEMs each year and knowing what a bunch of purists we are on GR it got me thinking what would be your nightmare bag?

Mine would be something like this:

Callaway FTI (or FTiQ) Driver - ugly, tinny sounding, overpriced POS
    Callaway Squareway woods - ditto
Big Bertha 2008 irons - I love the massive cavity in the long irons
Taylormade Wedges - harsh and hard and lacking in feel IMO
Taylormade Putter Monza Spider (or any other monstrosity that looks like a branding iron or like it belongs in a Star Trek convention)

I'm not a Callaway hater but I can't go past those clubs I've listed. Let's hear yours?
I chose the road less traveled.

Now where the f#ck am I?

I wouldnt put the Scotty Cameron putters in my dream bag, those overpiced POSes.

Those damn squared Cally drivers do take the cake for a nightmare driver. I'll follow that up with Nike squared Sumos or Dymos fairway woods. Toss in an Adams IDEA hybrid. Then Nike Slingshot 4 iron through GW or TM R7 draws. Finish that off with a few Vokey wedges and the White Hot 3 ball putter.

I totally forgot about the VAS irons and Bobby Jones wedges. Yeah, I might have to rethink some of my choices. Good call.

This is an easy exercise for me, because I only needed to go to Nike's website. Nike represents sheer egotistical ignorance and the belief that if you can market and get attention, you can sell low quality, poorly designed crap to weak minded fools.

Driver: Nike SQ DyMo. They make 2 of them so it was difficult to decide which one's worse. Tiger can't seem to hit either one.

Fairway Wood: Nike DyMo. It must have taken alot of effort to design a club this ugly.

Irons: Nike Slingshot 4D. The slingshot is the stupidest golf product ever created. Maybe that's too limiting. If you go to the website and look up the tech. specs. you get a series of children's drawings but no numbers. Tells you all you need to know about who their target market is.

Hybrid: Nike SQ Sumo 2: Yes, hybrids are ugly, but Nike took that to another level with this club.

Wedges: Nike Victory Red. They say it has "High Rev Grooves". Wow.

Putter: Nike Unitized. It "transmits vibrations that have been engineered to resonate with the natural sensory systems". Nike's description really says that. Even I couldn't make that up. I wonder if the vibrations are what lead to a flippy putting stroke.

Ball: Nike One. Home Depot sells rocks that don't spin well on greens for alot less.

If I had a bag like this I'd immediately throw it onto the next trash barge heading out to sea.

I have the Dymo2 Zo and it's a fairway finder. I had a 9.5 2007 Burner with a Whiteboard in it and only hit 5-7 fairways.

I picked up the Dymo and hit 9-12 a round, same distance and much less worry about snap hooking it when I go after it.

However in the $hitty bag dept..

    Driver: Burner Draw
    Fairway: LaJolla knife
    Hybrid: Nike CPR3
Irons: Cleveland HiBore or F2's or Cobra UFi's
Wedges: F2 wedge or the Spin Doctor wedge.
    Putter: Ping Doc 15

Careful Sooner. Edgey may have shovels in his bag at the moment but he is almost as big a club ho as BJ and has had Titty & Mizzy blades in the past.

PowerBilt AF1/ Nike / Lynx Driver - Absolutely disgusting in every way.
Any Nike / HiPPO Hex fairway woods - Hideous, and feels cheap.
ANY Lynx orTaylorMade Iron / Nike 4D Slingshot / PowerBilt irons - Shoddy craftsmanship, quality, and feel.
TaylorMade xFT / Nike / Bobby Jones / TaylorMade RAC / TaylorMade TP / PowerBilt Wedges
    - Absolutely cheap quality.
Any Nike ( IC, OZ, Unitized, Method , etc.) , any TaylorMade putter- Better off with a broom or umbrella.

Any of the latest Cleveland drvers are hidieous and make you feel ridiculous looking down at them from address.

Any brand Hybrids instead of fairway woods and long irons, although at a pinch I'll say Ping Raptures.

Irons would be a toss up between Cleveland hi bores and 2008 Cally Big Berthas.

Any putter made by Scotty. For me it would be a living noghtmare knowing that all my playing partners thought I was a pretentious, crass wood-duck who throws away good money on cheap Chinese, Ping knockoffs.

Wedges would be the Lovett or F2 (no need to eloborate).

And the nightmare ball would be a regular ProV1. How could any self respecting man bag the most played ball on the LPGA Tour. You might as well head straight for the red tees if you have them in the bag.

In fact, which brand of the clubs you use is not important, so long as you are used to them ,that's OK.
