If you cannot hit a blade on the sweet spot, I understand your concerns.

I sharted my pants after one really nice blade 9 iron today on the 18th hole (missed birdie putt, made par); had to drive my truck home, balls naked, and that leather is sticky; glad a cop didn't pull me over.

Wrapped a towel around my ass and ran into the house.

Yeah well it took you eighteen holes to shat yourself. You just proved the game improvement iron point of view.

Next time just go down town San Fran and get fisted. It will give you the same feeling you got with the one well struck blade.

Yeah, but it wasn't the blades.

I suppose the argument will never be solved as it is different things for different people, but if you have never hit a blade, then you do not understand the argument GHD

Sympathy for you arse shitting problem

I have Mizzie blades and do understand the feeling of puring one. The issue here though is NO ONE who shoots 97 should be using blades.

That's the problem isn't it? I grew up playing Wilson FG-17's and played them all the way through high school. I agree that there is nothing better than puring a 7-iron blade and hitting it right next to the hole. Somebody brought up the fact that there is a compromise in the blade vs. cavity war. Actually, there really isn't. A forged cavity back feels nothing like a forged blade. The Wilson Fi5's I purchased are a mixed set with some blades and some cavities. The blades feel MUCH better. The problem is the pured 7 iron is a rare occurrance for someone that plays once a week. I think the biggest benefit of blades is the ability to work the ball and chipping.
