Was the oil rig fire an accident?

Smart people don't think so. There are hundreds of these $350 MILLION rigs around the world--and nothing even remotely like this has ever happened. There are safety valves and other mechanisms designed to prevent this-- multiple double redundant. NO responsible company risks loss of such expensive equipment and lives--and on top of the company's program, the Coast Guard checks and double checks their safety programs.

Folks, this was not an accident-- So now lets look at who would benefit by the predictable over-reaction of liberals in our government and around the world? Who hates capitalism? Who would like to see the US oil AND coal production capability hobbled? Wow! Biden has already announced that he hates the entire idea of coal mining.

Hey, numbnuts, it was a BP oil rig, not a US company. BP= British Petroleum.

I listen to talk shows--and petroleum engineers who have worked on that and similar rigs have called to say they have NEVER heard of such an incident--nowhere in the world, EVER. They think someone or something purposely caused that. BP is being victimized.

Someone already won--Obama has stopped ALL off-shore oil drilling. Biden wants to stop coal mining..... duh

The UK has a set of insolvency laws similar to the US. Leave it to some legal brain surgeon like the US Attorney General to bring a suit in the World Court so all the ramora nations can get their bellies full of krill.

    Who, Holder?

He'll probably declare BP a terrorist organization and try to set up a trial in NYC.

Talk about incompetent. The guy should be working for Legal Aid.

    Not yet.

I'm not sure what the currents in the gulf will do, but we might not see any oil at all this far south.

This pretty well sums up what some of our better minds think about the entire subject:

Holder's former law firm specialized in defending terrorists--many if not most of those in Guantanamo are their clients-- indigent, of course, so billing the US Government $400+ per hour to "defend" them. Undoubtedly Holder himself has retained a partnership interest-- so he is is still financially benefiting from those retainers. Isn't that a blatant conflict of interest? Hypocritical? Is anyone going to ask? Would Holder tell the truth? Does Obama, et, al. and the Chicago thugs in the White House care?

A better question would be: Do you have an ounce of sense left?

    "Nothing remotely like this?" Please.

You've never heard of "Piper Alpha"...

    ..."Ocean Ranger"...

I could on for quite a while, but for a zealot such as yourself, what would be the point?

If the WTC had been attacked while a Democrat was in office, you'd be arguing that that was a conspiracy too.

What talk shows, Larry? What petroleum engineers?

    Let's see the names.

In all fairness, there was a petroleum engineer with deep water rig experience on the Mark Levin show last night. It was interesting. He did NOT say it was sabotage or terrorism. He DID say somebody fecked up.

    Hey Larry,

Does this mean you also now believe the conspiracy theory implicating George Dubya in the 911 Twin Towers incident?

No, . . . . but he is almost convinced his mother was the hidden shooter on the grassy knoll . . . . .
