    Golf Buddy

Has anyone used one of these? Are they any good?

I was thinking of starting a SkyCaddie thread, but let's try this for now.

You saw the 100+ action on my rangefinder/gps thread and wanted a market share?

This kind of statement is why no one wants to play golf with you. Be nice to people and they will accept you, faults included.

This is exactly what I was talking about in the 60 year old thread. Not everyone is out to steal from you, but you seem to see people that way. I'm not sure these people stealing from you even exist. I saw A Beautiful Mind a couple of days ago and that illustrates what I'm talking about. A brilliant person who was isolated due to paranoid, delusional psychoses. Unless you can drop these anti-social instincts you'll have a hard time progressing.

I might join in the jokes about thread counts, but I really don't consider them. I prefer the hard hitting low count cult classics.

LarryRSF uses the Golf Buddy. From what I gather from Larry's posts it is connected to 8 satelites and is better than the skycaddie.

I use a Igolf Neo. Simple. Front/Middle/Back distances. Shot distance feature. Thats about it. Download courses onto PC where they are stored. Paid $34 and loaded up every course I could think of playing around home and vacation spots.

Never used the Golf Buddy. Sorry.

A great invention would be sunglasses that would enable you to line up a red dot that you can see on the lens with the flag to get instant yardage. Once you're comfortable with the yardage you hit a little button on the side of the glasses to hide the graphics. You could plug them into your ipod and watch movies while waiting for the group in front of you.

What type of movies, Tin Cup, Bagger Vance or Debbie Does Dallas?

This could be an important promotional issue!

Well, if you've got 2 groups in front of you I'd say that you run into the bushes and watch I Dream of Jenna. One group might warrant watching some exerpts from Three's Company or Charlie's Angels. Either way don't forget your tanning lotion.

A geek friend of mine says heads-up displays are about to invade many aspects of everyday life. I want one that not only projects what you'd like to see, but blocks out what you don't want to see.

Think of the applications that might have.

    No thank you.

The GolfBuddy will help you gain confidence by knowing exactly how far and where to go.

No bites on the line yet? This thread is turning into a waste. Maybe he's only allowed to use the computer during certain hours?
