    How Often do you Quit?

Between the interminable pushes and the consideration of what I could be doing with my limited budget rather than cursing at the stubborn insubordination of a little white ball, I have sworn off the game forever a couple of times in my short golfing career.

Hell, just this week I decided to pack it in. I put a half-dozen balls in the water (In my feeble defense, there's tight water in play on EVERY HOLE). Two days later, my friend wanted to play a round and I was all fired up and ready to suck.

    Is there golf rehab?

I have considered quitting golf and taking up spamming since Spank announced that I could make $500,000 a day doing it.

Quitting golf wasn't enough of a challenge for me, so I took up smoking, drinking to excess, heroin, crack cocaine, and methamphetamines.......
    Seldom right, never in doubt......

I tied quitting twice as golf was diluting my fitness for mt. biking, karate/MMA, and surfing.
three reasons why I'm back to playing golf: it's relaxing to play a fast 9-hole game , my wife plays, and I'm much better at golf now so it's a hella more fun than when I was scalping fairways - turned out, from a different instructor, that I just needed to loosen and weaken my grip to cure my hooks.
    golf's a relaxing betting game.

    Why are you asking?
Walking a golf course isn't much of an exercise, but is fun.

FD... if I remember correctly that's what VP Dan Quale said... and his wife said that she's not too worried when Dan was on a business trip because between sex and golf Dan would choose golf... I believe that Dan played for his college team???

I seem to remember that as well. I just can't imagine giving up golf for the rest of my life. Giving up sex would be horrible and I'd miss it terribly....but golf? No way.

I generally quit at least once per 9...... Then the golf gods allow me to pull off some shot that keeps me coming back.... for a few more holes
