Lost and Found on the golf course

What is the strangest/ most valuable thing you have lost or found on the golf course?

Back in the mid '80's, lost my Maxfli Australian Blade 7 iron on my home course, a private club. Since those clubs were extremely rare in the USA, I was unable to find a replacement and had to buy a new set of blades, Palmer Standards, which were nice but not quite as sweet as the Maxfli's. I'd swear one of my club competitors found it and threw it in one of the ponds. Bastard.

I have seen a guy throw his own wedge in a pond and another guy throw his 3 wood into the woods on a par 5. Neither seemed too upset with losing them even after cooling down shortly after.

My Serengeti sunglasses at a cow pasture course about an hour from here. Left them in the cart... not surprised they never turned up.

At the course I worked maintenance on as a kid, there was a driver stuck about 30 feet up in a tree by the 7th tee. It was a new Callaway (S2H2) I believe. A couple of us made attempts to climb the tree but never could reach the club.

Wasn't there a chainsaw in the maintenance shack?

Reminds me of a time I watched a guy throw one club after his putter stuck up in a tree. It got stuck too. He preceded to throw 4 more up in the tree before they all came crashing down. His group was laughing their arses off at him. It just made him madder and madder. When they all came down, the laughter started to subside, one of the guys in the group got a short winded "press" out between breaths and and the roar started up again. I don't think he was fairing too well. I seriously thought the guy was going to have a heart attack right there next to the tee box.

Buddy of mine saw an old dime laying by a flower bed and had it checked out and ended getting 250 bucks for it. A rare one from a certain mint. Lucky bastard.

I too found a nice stash bag of pot, about a dime in it, a nice glass pipe and a lighter. I wish I could have turned it into lost and found. The bag looked like they had had it a long time made nice leather with a couple of signatures on it. Gave it to a friend. Probably ruined the guys round.

Or he shot the round of his life but freaked out because it took, like, 10 hours and the freaking snack shop at the turn was closed.

I'm sure the guy who lost it didn't fare to well. I found it between hole 10 and 11. Enough time to come down even if he was baked.

I didn't give the stash to my friend until after the round, later that night. It smelt like good stuff and I'm sure my friend enjoyed it but he doesn't golf unless it's Tiger Woods on his PS or Xbox.
