    Trojan Virus Removal Help?

    I recently was attacked by a Trojan known as Trojan:Win32/FakeSpyPro. It disabled my IE and now I am unable to use it. Along with my Google Chrome and Yahoo Messenger. So I deleted them and reinstalled them. They still do not work. I have Microsoft Security Essentials, Windows Defender,
    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, and I use the Malicious Software Removal Tool by Microsoft and then I can not get rid of the effects of this Trojan.

    That website there tells about it. I have removed everything I have found infected and have scanned my computer repeatidly and it is not finding anything. I also am now forced to use Firefox. My operating system is Windows XP. This has made my experience online very frustrating. I am begging someone to help me. Please...

    Isn't using the Trojan supposed to keep you from getting the virus?

    It hijacks IE and runs all of your Internet through a proxy server. You either have to change the setting in the registry or sometimes this will work...

    Tools--> Internet Options--> Connections tab--> Lan Setting

    And then uncheck "use a proxy server" box. With the other programs you run if it's showing clean you should be good after doing this. If not, I'd just do a reformat of your HD. If you don't back important things up this is the time to realize you should be.
