I had a full set of those-- 2-SW-- that my old man handed down to me in the early 1960's. When my son was about 4 or 5, I cut down the 9 iron by hacksawing off the top of the shaft to about 2 feet and put a grip on it. Must have swingweighted out to F37 or something. Amazing the boy still likes to play. $15 is a good buy if you want to buff them up for paper weights. If you really want a complete set, I'd keep looking.

Oops, didn't notice it's a partial set. I'm going to Kumon for some remedial work right now.

    WTF is an 11 iron?

I guess that might be like a modern Gap Wedge?
I chose the road less traveled.

Now where the f#ck am I?

You're probably right. "Sand wedges" have been around for a LONG time. This was probably the highest "iron" in the set, and the SW would be next.

Any input from "experienced" players who played clubs in that era would be welcomed.
    Seldom right, never in doubt......
