Intro and first hole video from GR SH Match Play!

Again, the interlaced scan rate of this vid is different from my outfit.. it occasionally looks funny... but it gets better on the back nine when Crocodile Mick Dundee the photographer switches to a High Definition camcorder, very nice..

The action, the scenery, the smack talk, it's all worth watching some grainy video for a few holes... :-)

OP, you might recall the opening music.. bit of Rolf from fifty years ago.. brings back memories of me days in Perth.. :-)

the rest of you wankers are too young to know anything about this.

tune in next week for another hole in... the Inaugural GR Southern Hemisphere Match Play Championship!

What an awesome thing you guys have put together. Kiwi, I promise to hold my tongue for a year whatever rugby comments you might make. OP, you've earned a night of doing whatever you might want to the wife as long as it involves something you've never done to her before. And Dave, if the rest of the match is as good as this, I might have to check out religion.

Awesome job Dave. You are the man when it comes to putting these videos together.

Kiwi, OP, I could have sworn I watched you guys warming up on the range... but bogeys on the first hole? You guys should have hit the practice green for a few putts, methinks.

Just kidding. Awesome stuff guys. You two seem like such good sports about the whole deal. Pretty decent swings too. Looking forward to the rest of the match.

    Awesome stuff Dave.

The commentary is superb. My attempt at a Southern Yankee accent in the WITB segment was pretty pathetic but you've shown you can pull off the Aussie accent with ease and was that a Scottish links commentary I heard as we hit out approach shots and three putts? It reminded me of the late, great rugby commentator Bill McClaren.

Fantastic Dave, just when I think you couldn't possibly do anything better, you put something like this together and totally redeem yourself. In all seriousness, you have missed your calling in life. Nantz would do well to watch this and learn something about introducing a golf match.

Firstly great job Dave, you are the master .

Agree totaly about the Bill McClaren comment Kiwi. It was like watching Grandstand on BBC1 in the late 70's. Brought a tear to my eye

Dave my only complaint is that after watching the vid a couple of times I have had that Rolf Harris song stuck in my head all day!

What I find amazing about Rolf Harris is the range of his songs. Sun Arise is great and the perfect background music for this. But some of his other stuff ain't quite so great.

    I don't see how you do it . . . . . . . . . . . . . no, I don't mean take someone else's copyrighted work and add your own rhymes to it, I mean I don't know how just sit there and actually want to type all that drivel out . . . . . . . . . . . especially where it has to do with PING.

It's called cut and paste and it doesn't take that long. I agree that the humor has worn itself out so I won't post any more songs. Maybe I should try poems.

I think that I shall never see

a four as lovely as a three

a three well earned on a par five

will truly make me feel alive

but three scored merely on a four

will lift my feet up off the floor

it doesn't do so much for me

when I score it on a three

where the studly thing to do

would be, of course, to score a two

and Kiwi Player knows the fun

of rattling the flag for ONE!

But as for me, I'll rarely see

a score as lovely as a three.
