Yes. Collect money from a bunch of people and find some way to distribute the golfers in the tournament amongst them. After the tournament, split the money in some fashion based on how the players finish.
I hope this helps.

Damn good idea. I would have the people in the office write down players that they think are going to win or place high. I would keep a record of what the people wrote down so they cannot change their picks when the tournament is in progress. I personally would distribute more money to the people that are most accurate in their predictions.

I'd like to add that you should utilize technology such as internet mail (email) and some sort of electronic spreadsheet to communicate and track progress.

We have done pools before around here where I work. The way we do it is that everyone chooses 5 players. For us, we set the rules that you have to pick at least 2 non-Americans, but that is purely optional for you. Every participant keeps those 5 players and the winner of the pool (and we do 3 places) is determined as to how their players finish in the money. You simply add the money up that each player made amongst your 5 players and that is your determining score.
We use to do something similar to this whenever I had a golf site a couple of years ago. Of course, no one on here could ever beat me, . . . . . . . but that is somewhat beside the point.

Hmmm....I would have assumed you started the process either with ranching or genetic research.

No, but some of the annual New Year's Eve parties are started that way.

Masters In 3-d
Watching ESPN 3D and they had a promo for the Masters. It looked amazing, bringing depth and topography to life. They announced they will be covering all four rounds in 3D. Really stoked about this.
Of course there are certain things you hope aren't captured on camera in 3D.

Will you have to go to a movie theatre to watch it?

Only if your living room is a movie theater. It's going to be available on ESPN on their dedicated 3D channel on Direct TV. Some of you may want to find a friend with 3D capability and an extra set of glasses at least to check it out. It's not exactly like being there but it's more psychedelic.
