    Stinger tees?

Anybody seen these things when they're in a store like Edwin Watts or Golfgalaxy?

I was just curious to see if anybody's tried them and if they're worth a darn.

They're really sharp so they're good for jabbing yourself in the leg or puncturing your fingers. It's also really hard to keep them on the tee when it's windy. I don't think they do anything but they do look cool especially if you tee it high.

They are about as sturdy as a twiglett. Meant to give less friction with the club for longer drives. Not sure if it works though.

My father-in-law uses them (and he is not necessarily a guy that tries out all of the new "techy" gear) all of the time and gave me a few to try. I have used them and really like them. They are a lot thinner than normal tees and, at least to me, seem easier to insert in hard ground. I will probably pick up a package next time I need to reload and would recommend you give them a try too.

Yup...the ball is well gone before the club gets to the tee...unless you hit the tee and not the ball, in which case no tee is going to save you.

I bought a pack and tried them last night...they are a bloody nuisance to tee the ball on...even without wind they are tough to keep on the tee...I like to lean my tee forward a bit...forget that with these things...probably make grand tooth-picks though.
