    Wet Conditions

Recently I played a round at my local course just after a pretty good rain. It had been a long time since I had played in wet conditions and my regular iron shots seemed to dig in to the mud just under the turf on the fairways. As a result my shots were usually fat and completely unpredictable.

Does anyone change their swing in wet weather to avoid this? Are there any things I should be doing differently than normal for these conditions?

    Thanks

Off the fairway I try to pick the ball more than usual, but if that is hard 4 u u can always just try to hit down on the ball more contacting ball first. Also if it is really soft turff ur feet may sink a little bit causing u to hit just behind the ball if this is the case I like to set up without grounding my club like a fairway bunker shot.

    Good Luck
Every set should come with a 2 iron!

If it really wet underfoot ill make two changes first ill use fairway woods as much as possible the wider sole and sweeping motion make it less likely im going to hit it fat and dig in and when I do need to hit an iron I’ll move the ball back in my stance again making it less likely I will hit the ground first.

When u are starting out and have wet conditions.
I find that much less forplay is needed.

play the ball a greater distance forward in your stance to utilize a scoop or pick off the ground.
