Better or Worse than when we started?

I just want to know, was the board better or worse than when we started moderating in September?

  2. #2
    Worse:

    1. the multiple forums. I don't know who's idea this was, but it was dumb.
    2. the deletions. Nuff said.

It depends, because from the months of Oct-March it was a lot better than now.

But it is better now; than it was between april-august.
    Feels just like it should.

Lloyd, the multiple forums were there long before we became moderators. We just added an equiptment only forum. There was already the golf, non-golf, and equiptment discussion areas.

T, are you drunk? At your age? At this time in the morning?

Was there, or was there not an equipment forum when you became moderator?

No Lloyd I'm not drunk. You said we've done a bad job because of the multiple forums, there were already three multiple forums before we became moderators. Are you drunk?

Please answer the question - you said there was already an equip forum, then said that you created one. which is it?

We created the equiptment forum, but you blamed all the multiple forums on us. The golf and non-golf were already split up, as were the course discussion forums. I'm not sure what you're trying to prove here Lloyd. If you don't like the seperate forums, then click on new posts on the green bar. They will give you not only the new posts, but posts from the last day usually.

They did create an equipment forum, which I am not a fan of. Golf & Non-Golf was good enough distinction for me. Equipment is very much "Golf Discussion"

No need for a Golf and an Equipment form and asking people to search old topics rather than asking the same old questions was a mistake but overall I appreciate all the unpaid work your doing.

Multiple forums are horrible. Spreds everything out too much.

IMHO, there isn't enough traffic on this board to need all of them.

I agree, I see no need for the multiple forums. Especially to separate golf-related from equipment, that's mostly what this forum is here for. It's simple, if you don't want to read a particular thread, go to the next one...

Personally, I thought that non-golf vs. golf was enough. Golf and Golf Equipment does fragment the board.
Previously, some actual golf topics were occasionally discussed. This might be boring to some people who would rather see lots of posts revolving around personalities and insults. Yes, that does bring people to the board, like people watching a fire or a train wreck.......
    Seldom right, never in doubt......

What's with this "equiptment" crap you keep repeating?

"Equipment". Write it out 100 times, please.

The separate equipment forum is an absolute joke.

The level of activity on this forum was already low. Who on earth can be bothered to be continually flicking between forums.

Sounds like the moderators just wanted to do something, anything.

Board owners: change it back & get some adults in as moderators. Thank you.

I voted better, I've only been here a few months, but I don't see the new moderators accussing most new people of being a troll called spanky or whatever it was that the moderator accused me of being at the time I joined. I was told that he would keep a close eye on me because of the suspect avatar I still use.

If you change your name to "GorillaSchrup" you would probably be a more trusted figure in the new moderators eyes.

Actually, you did ge the raw end of the deal when you came around, but Spank was around even before me, and it did kind of old that every new questionable member got "Accused". You can thank "Gorillaslapped" for your torment.

Interesting, I'm on two other golf forums, Golf Rewind and Golfwrx and both have separate forums for equipment, tips, PGA stuff etc. And they are rather lively forums.

that is the point - those baord have enough traffic to justify it. This one doesn't.
