I practice my grip by pretending the club is the neck of someone living somewhere where it doesn't snow and the courses are open all year, but it tends to lead to severe hooks, so I then pop a cold one and watch some hockey...I live in Quebec...it will be -10 c on Saturday.
I can't wait for shore leave so I can get me som fukkin' poon-tang.

I just played today for the 4th time this year! Played in the rain on New Years Day, but enjoyed 70-degrees and sunshine at Morro Bay, Monarch Dunes and Cypress Ridge since then. I have to admit though, I miss being where I can snowboard and play hockey! I play roller hockey, but have to travel 4-8 hours for snowboarding.

i DO like being able to snowboard and play hocke in the winter months, however i feel that golf is far superior to them and because of that i envy you!!!

Play year round. Played on Dec. 30th in showers, 40 degrees F. I must admit I'm going to the south to the sun at least twice a year to get in some decent golf. There are many ranges courses open year round in Portland; some of the courses you can lose a ball plugged in the fairway; well drained courses are a must.

I'm actually gonna play golf tomorrow and I live in NY. It's supposed to be like 50 degrees tomorrow here with low winds. It's a gift...

If you live in Texas chances are you could have played everyday since mid-December. Tempurates have been anywhere from the mid-50's to the low 80's in fact just this past weekend the temps where in the low-80's. Lucky me, I was in the New York metro area for a holiday vacation with the family for the last 2 weeks in December. So I didn't get a chance to take advantage of the great weather. Now, that I'm back I've been to the driving range three times in the past week. If the weather continues to be favorable I'll hit a golf course next weekend. ;) ;)

It has rained for 20-something straight days here. I'm not against playing in the rain, but it is starting to get old. Plus, I started school again, and have no time between work, school, and sleep. All that said, I'm playing Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I love raingear and MLK!
Oh yeah, How about them Redskins!

i'll be playing after tomorrow, it's expected to be in the high 30s, low 40s. should be winter tee boxes, but greens will be open - hope it doesn't rain ( or snow)

I live north of Dallas and played golf last Saturday. It got a little warm. My buddies wore shorts and I wish I would have too. During the two weeks surrounding Christmas I was off on vacation and got to play six times.
Texas weather in the winter time is funny though. It can be 70*F one day and 40*F the next. You never know. The good thing is that one can play pretty much year round with the exceptional cold snaps now and then.
