    The Winners Are:

Driver: NoName Brand, Green Shaft, Steel Head
3 Wood: Dunlop 2004 version, weak shaft (breaks easily)
    5 Wood: same as above
3-PW: Dunlop 2004 version from Sports Authority, Shaft bends easily, oversize heads bend as well - creative ball flights produced.
    SW - 56* 845 - Tommy Armour - Best Club in the bag !!!!
60* L Wedge - Affinity $12 from Wal Mart - Second Best Club in the Bag!!!!
Putter - 1970's Wilson putter, bend to hell and back - great rolls produced!!
    Bag - Who Cares!!!!

This is my current set, I have lowered my handicap from 28 to 12 in less than 4 months and I can hit that piece of crap no name driver over 300 yards.

And yes, I am getting all new clubs soon, I am just in the process of Demoing everything but I've set my mind on purchasing the TM RAC LT2's. I be buying them this week and then I'll start demoing Woods and Putters.

    Have fun with this post!!!!

Dude, that's so like me! Except I went from a 40 to a +1 in 3 months. Oh yeah, and I was using a broken mop for a driver and a rotten coconut for a ball.

I also bought the LT2s recently. They're pretty sweet. Though I'm not sure that my shots have become any lower in trajectory since the acquisition.

i agree - its just abit of fun though...
i notice from the first reply that there were differences as to what that person had and what they would like...
there are lots of reasons for this...

a)the high prices of equipment nowadays...
b)sometimes you cant decide between two clubs (they are so close) and over time you realise that you chose the wrong one...
c)because of these two factors - most golfers can only justify one purchase every now and again and can therefore not update to what they would truly like

this thread gives golfers the chance to give credit where credit is due - regardless of whether they have those clubs in their bag or not.

i am guessing that you are an honest and objective person.

i would be interested in your (and other members) thoughts on my original question of what they thought were great clubs for 2006 and what were great "older" clubs prior to that

I guess I should post, simply because I may be the exception too this rule
    Driver - Own G2
Cleveland Launcher Comp - G2 is a very close second

Fairway Woods - Own G2 - Definately not the G2 or even the G5 which I compared last weekend - G2 and G5 may be at the bottom of my list
Probably would say the Cleveland Launcher Steel

Hybrids - Own Cobra Baffler - may be my favorite club next to my putter
I would probably give this to the Baffler based on value, Cost not being an issue I would say the Taylormade Rescue Dual - I feel the TM Mid is a very close second to the Baffler. I probably would have purchased a TM had it fit into the distance Gap that I was looking to fill, but after owning the Baffler I cannot complain.

    Irons - Own Ping i3+
Mizuno MP-60. looked at them and the i5 last weekend as well. The i5's are much better than the i3+ in my opinion less offset, sleeker looking club, but I prefered the MP-60's

Wedges - Own Ping Tour LW, i3+ GW, SW
Cleveland 588 Gun Metal - I would have bought this for my Lob Wedge, but the bounce although 8* on both clubs, was visually less on the Ping Tour, and better fit my needs. Ping Tours are a great wedge however, I have great faith in this club and next to my GW and Putter, it may be the most used club in my bag.

Putter - Own Own Odyssey White Hot #4
Odyssey White Hot is the winner in my book. Probably the 2-ball for design and alignment functionality, but it is too darn big for me. I'll stick with my #4.

I should mention, I have no intention of switching any of the clubs in my bag at the present time. I am not much of a Club Ho. But I did try them last weekend to kill some time.

Bags - Own Sun Mountain C130 Cart and OGIO Woode Stand.
Any Sun Mountain or OGIO bag based on what is needed. Sun Mountain Stand bag for lighter weight. OGIO Woode Stand bag if you own alot of woods. Sun Mountain Cart bag for carry volume and club seperators, although the the Woode Bags have some interesting design features.

Ball - Play Maxfli A-10 solid, I really like Maxfli balls based on price value
Pro V1 is probably the best I have played.
