    Rifle vs Dynamic Gold Shafts

I have a quick question regarding a general comparison between Rifle and Dynamic Gold shafts. My irons are fit with a rifle 6.0 shaft, and that degree of stiffness appears to work well for me. In terms of "equating" that to a Dynamic Gold shaft, would the Rifle 6.0 most equal an S300 or X100 shaft? Thanks very much.

    Rifle VS DG

    Hey

5.7/5.8 is same as Dynamic Gold S. So 6.0 is sligthly stiffer then DG S.

Rifle Project X is stiffer then other rifle shafts, sow 5.5. PX is almoust same as 6.0 rifle tour flighted.

At the moment Im playing rifle tour flighted 5.5

This is the information I've repeatedly heard as well. A DG300 plays about to a 5.8 on the Rifle scale. However, Rifles are also a bit more tip soft than DG's, so they'll feel a bit softer even at the same butt flex.
    Seldom right, never in doubt......

I've been thinking about putting Rifles on my BH-5's. I have a strong swing, and play DGS300's now, which are at standard length, but when I reshaft I will be fitting, and by my fit I need an extra inch or so on my irons. I was leaning towards 6.0, but if they are softer at the tip do you think that would be increased by another inch of length on the shaft? Maybe 6.5 would be better..

Right now I carry the 6 iron around 170.
I can't wait for shore leave so I can get me som fukkin' poon-tang.

Probably around the R2/R3 range as the closest approximation.

Sorry. The R300 is the heavier regular flex Dynamic Gold, and the R200 is the slightly lighter regular flex shaft. R2 and R3 were my references to the R200 and R300. Actually, the regular flex True Temper Tour Concept calls itself the R3, not R300. I got the nomenclature mixed up. Again, apologies for the loose terminology and the resultant confusion.

It's very much a subjective preference. Both are fine shafts. Rifles feel a little softer because they aren't quite as tip stiff as the DG's. The DG's may have a slight advantage in precision, though frankly both really play pretty well.

No it's not. I doesn't feel anything like it.
