Something horrible just happened to me. I was about to post the "Cavity-blade" post but Lloyd beat me to it. Now I'm just deciding between pills or the car-in-the-garage thing...
-
Blavities for me. Now the only question is whether or not to use iron covers...
-
personally..

I find iron covers to get in the way while playing...the ball doesn't seem to jump off them well when hit. I recommend you take them off when you get your club out of the bag.

I think this is sound advice. Unless you rust your wedges, which can cause the ball to spin too much. In that case, the iron covers may bring the spin rate down a bit.

Are we taking freshwater rusting or saltwater rusting?

I've found that a 50/50 mix of perrier and evian works well. Diet Caffiene-free Black Cherry Vanilla Coke also works.

now
When you want to hit a 5 wood, but its a bit too much club for that par 3, you can leave the head cover on, it takes a bit of zing out of your hit.
-
Why in Gods name would you want your Ribs to taste like rust. Actually, that may be an upgrade to the BBQ sauce up here in the NE, maybe next time I run out of my home made Gates~Arthur Bryant's rendition, I will try the "Rust Flavored". Do you just stir it around with the SW, or do you actually have to beat the flavor into the Ribs?

5 wood on a par 3? What are your distances? Mine are...
Driver 480
3 wood 400
3 iron 300
5 iron 250
8 iron 200
SW 168
I'm thinking about getting a hybrid to fill the gap between my 3 wood and 3 iron. Are those still just for pussies?

At least be original. The whole "I'm going to overexagerate my distances ridiculously trying to be funny by making fun of people who exaggerate their distances" isn't funny, its been done waaay too much.

That would be a mighty long par 3, the longest par 3 I have played is 245 yards, I had to choke up on my 9i. But I guess that would about get me to within a LW on a normal par 5.

I'm sorry, that must have hit a little too close to home. My favorite thread was that hilarious one you started about funny range stories. Apparently, hitting soft 150 yard draws in the middle of winter is the height of comedy. I don't blame you for deleting it...

Just what I love to spend my time doing, lying to strangers about how far I hit a little white ball :/

I use a blade driver....very nice feel. Not very forgiving, but when I catch the sweet spot it just rockets off the face, it has a low, penetrating ball flight, and I can actually turn the ball around halfway down the fairway. I really like it for holes playing with the wind - I tee it high, hit a power fade into the wind in the opposite direction of my fairway, and it makes a nice 180* turn back with the wind while still climbing (if I hit it in the right direction to begin with it would be way too long)...what a club...I would only advise it if you have a 150 mph swing though, because it only comes with a XXX-Stiff shaft.
I can't wait for shore leave so I can get me som fukkin' poon-tang.

putter
I can get 110 yards or so with my putter, more if I tee it up.

Not really
So all this talk of cavity backs has got me thinking. Should I take them to a dentist for Fillings??? Would this improve my game?
