    Go to Shot: Part Deux

I took part in a thread about 3 months ago regarding what everyone's "go to shot" was. At the time, mine was a big draw, but since then I have ceased to be able to command this beautiful shot like I once did. Fortunately I have discovered a new favorite: the high fade. It is a much easier shot to execute and tends to work great on my course (wind is usually left to right or dead in on the longer holes).

    What's your "go to shot"?

With my irons it's taking one club more, and just hitting a little punch cut in there. With my driver I'll grip down, tee the ball lower and hit a punch draw. It works most of the time and I don't lose that much distance. In fact, why don't I do that the whole time?

The thin or chunk chip... I don't get to pick which one, but either can rear it's ugly head seemingly without even being commanded.

The knockdown. Great for windy conditions, under trees, or in between clubs. Take one or two more clubs, choke down and make a smooth swing. I also like playing a punch with this shot that will run up on the green or long down the fairway to a good distance for my approach. It's a sure shot everytime.
