Looking For Oversized Blade Type Putter?
Oversize gives me confidence but don't like the mallet types - any suggestions on a putter?

The White Hot # 4 may be a nice alternative that may be worth checking out. It is refered to as a Semi-Mallet or Flange style putter. I bought it for the same reasons you mentioned. A blade was a little to hard to control for me, and I didn't care for the size of the mallets at the time. It is actually reasonably heavy compared to some of the newer putters, but still not as heavy as the mallets. I bought it when I started playing 6 years, and it is the only original club in my bag, and I have no intention of changing.
It has a soft insert, which may or may not feel right for you. Although some of the newer Odyssey models have different inserts and fairly similar. Although the original white hot can probably be found for $89 usd or lower.
click on the link below, then on the #4, then to the right you will see a 1 and 2 below the putter, which will show different views.
