The 15 year old that qualified over Wie.

I was curious to see what the 15 year old kid who qualified over Michell Wie was all about. The little guy is a bad a$$. 5-foot-1 and weighing 135 pounds he averages 280 yards off the tee. I hope he does well and will be following him closely. He did after all earn his way on to play. Imagine if Wie would have lost out to Tadd Fujikawa in Hawaii? How would Team Wie have explained that one away.

Not your fault but we've done this one to death!!

I suspect that he will miss the cut by quite a margin.

I hear ya Singsling, but I hadn't read too much about this kid. Everybody is talking about Wie on TV, but this kid is younger. He probably will miss the cut by a lot but he qualified over a bunch of seasoned veteran's. It's a great story about a small kid who qualified despite the odds.

I agree I think it is a great story but I don't think the set up at a US Open will allow him to do other than struggle. He would have much more of a chance at say the British Open.

That's a cool story, it's going to look funny on the range all these tour pros and a 5ft 1" 15 year old looking for Tigers autograph.

I hate Wie over hyped load of crap, she blows it in the womens championship and the us open qualifier, she needs to grow some testicles.
    Feels just like it should.

He looks tiny. To be honest I was expecting a mini-Tiger. Well done to him and I hope he does well

This is why Wie ducked him in the sectional qualifier in Hawaii, she didn't want to lose to the "FUJIKAWA",

Headline: Wie loses to a 15 year old boy who is a whole foot shorter than her.

Yeah. Sure. That must be it. Not that Wie was preparing for a Major that she had a pretty dasrn good chance of winning, and almost did win. But of course it must be that she is scared of some kid that shot 70, 71.

70, and 71 is no slack job emc. This kid did what it took in order to be there this week. The bottom line is The Fujimeister's going and Wie is not. She chose her path and he chose his. I, unlike a lot of people have no problem with her playing in the U.S. Open because if you want to play you have to qualify. I think that would go a long way in shutting up her detractors if she would qualify for events instead of the now normal routine of sponsors exemptions. I hope their plan works because she's only 16 and the pressure she has on her is so immense. Anybody remember what happened to Jennifer Capriati. I hope Wie (pun intended) don't see a repeat.

David Faherty did a Yahoo! sports interview. His take is that it's not relavant if she makes the cut...she'll never be competitve anyway. She isn't strong enough to make the shots like the men do...in the heavy rough, bunkers and other difficult lies.

    Sounded convinced.

That's true actually. If she did qualify, she'd have to score out of her mind to make the cut

I thought she was trying to qualify for the U.S. Open, not practice for the McDonald's LPGA, hmmm,

You can bet your bottom dollar her daddy was worried about "The FUJIKAWA" and didn't want to chance of losing to him. I know if i was him and nike, that is what i would be thinking.

No you never mentioned it, but there are plenty of people on here that have mentioned how big of a moron you are.

I know LyleG that you are obsessed with Wie and I guess that is legal in Canada, in America, 16yr olds are off limits, dang it i forgot, your a juvenile.

Yep, bomber you're such a genius. Unlike you, I am not scared of women playing sports. So I see no need to go around and make up foolish conspiracy theories based on nothing more than my own imagination.
But hey, what do you expect from a guy who calls himself "bomber"?

Not even close. That's where some of the Pro's will end up. That you can bet on.

Not founded, please, oh that's right Wie never ducks challenges, she just uses sponsor exemptions,

Proof is in the pudding look at her past.

LyleG i am not afraid of a woman in golf, why do you keep saying that, is that one of those deep seeded fears you have, but again, you will argue anything,

you're tool. Wie already beat the 15 year old in sectional qualifying. She won the section. If the LPGA Championship wasn't in the same week, she would've tried to qualify for the US Open in Hawaii....she would've won easily.

Let's see....she was trying to win the LPGA, she gets slammed for "ducking" a 15 y.o.

She tried to qualify for the US Open, she gets slammed for not having won anything on the LPGA (of which she's not even a member).

Looks like tails you win and heads she loses....you're a clown.

She would not have tried to qualify for the us open in Hawaii, not enough publicity seeing as her second 18 would have been played while most people are sleeping, thus no updates every 30 minutes, oh and there is also that issue of "THE FUJIKAWA"

but you guys are right, there is no logic to my claims at all, hmmmm

of course she gets slammed for not winning an LPGA event, afterall, isn't she the 2nd ranked womens player in the world, without 1 win, hmmmm.

She will get held to this standard and slammed because she talks the talk, but has yet to walk the walk, i.e. play regularly on the mens tour, but she can't even win on the ladies

It is funny how you say she would have "won easily in Hawaii", have you been talking to Miss Cleo,

The article that you suggested only that "THE FUJIKAWA" can putt and not choke in a big situation, what is that girls name who chokes every chance she gets, hmmm, oh yes, Michelle Wie
