center shafted putters
what is the theory behind center shafted putters? tried one in a pro shop today and it seemed to make lining up putts easier....
-
For people who do a straight back, straight forward swing, many fitters recommend center shafted putters. They are less likely to twist if the hit is slightly off center, and many people find it easier to do the pendular stroke with a center shafted putter.
For those who do more of a curved in-out-in stroke, conventional wisdom is that a heel shafted putter serves this purpose better.
Putters are extremely subjective; if you find one that works, use it!!
