Driver with a Closed Face
Hi,
I have a driver that has a closed faced, I mean, If I took a normal stance, the face points to the left, how do I work with that, should i aim more to the right, or just forget that and stance normallly, 'cause when I hit in the sweet spot, it goes straight to the left.
I look the face like this: \) instead of: D (lol, use your ascii imagination)
thanks,
Sergio.

time to get a new driver maybe??
if you really like the driver you have, and dont want to get a new better one, you prolly will be able to get it bent back from offset, but im not dure where(and dont do this on your own!!)

but the driver is new, it's not bended. It's to avoid slicing.

ok, so getting a new one is out of the question.
thats what offset does avoid slicing, but it usually make you hit a slight draw, not pull or push the ball.
i beleive there are some places that will correct the offset, maybe at the clubfitters?

the offset usually is soo small you wouldnt even notice. like i said, it usually makes you hit a slight draw to avoid or balance out the slice, not hit it way left..
i hate to say it, but could it be a swing problem and not the equipment?? cuz we all know its always the equipments fault..

My Taylor Made R540 sets up closed. I used to hook it really bad(partly swing fault I later fixed). I HATE going left! I have a strip of lead tape on the toe. I always hit a nice fade with it since doing this. Of course I have never been a slicer so I wouldnt recomend it for everyone. Plus it changes the swing weight.

Sergio, if its going straight left then your swing is the problem. You have an outside-in swing path. There are some drills to fix this, I'm sure, but I can't think of any right now. You can always buy an inside approach. I would recommend to just try to make your first move from the top of your swing a downward motion rather than an outward motion to start swinging from the inside. hope this helps.
