    Light, blad style putter

Ok, so when I first started golf I had an Odyssey 2-Ball and a Dunlop finale. I loved the feel and weight of the Odyssey 2-Ball but hated the damn 2 balls cuz it was distracting. I liked the Dunlop for the other reasons, but it was too light, although it was not distracting @ all.

My current putter is a TM Corsa Long Beach Sport Mid 7. It's too heavy for me. I like the feel of a lighter putter.

So I want a light, blade style putter with a good feel. I'm not looking into getting a Scotty Cameron (price was) and want to keep the price under 150.

Give me your recomendations on which ones I should try.

Ping anser is always a good choice. However I find them to be a little too light. I would highly recommend the Mizuno TP Mills putters or the Mizuno TP mills workshop putters.. YOu can find them at a fair price on ebay. You can maybe do a little research on the Mizuno TP mills line up because they make quite a few different shapes on those putters. Model #1 is my personal fav. good luck.
    MY Bag contains the following:
Nike Ignite 460 9.5 aldila nv stiff
    Titleist 975f 14.5' 3 wood TTdg 300 stiff
Wilson PI5 3 thru PW 5.5 rifle shafts
    Titleist Vokey 50' 54' 58' wedges
    Ping Craz-e putter 34'

You could look for a Wilson Staff 8802, to many the quintesential blade putter. Another thought is the Titleist Bullseys centre shaft.

my odyssey is the exact same shape, looks identical except mine has the insert in the middle. wilson have brought out a new series with inserts i do believe.

i'm selling my odyssey for £80 - has been professionally recoloured to my preferences. so a rare putter has become even rarer - especially when the fill that has been used is 18kt gold.

Maybe you can have a look at the Sophia putter from Yes!

It's about as classic as you can get with a putter. Very pretty.

I thought that the Odyssey was slightly deeper in the face. However, by all accounts its an excellent putter. 18kt gold fill?? Where I play I would be afraid of getting mugged

BTW you are quite correct, Wilson now make a blade putter with an insert.

Ping revolutionized the blade putters, look to them for answers. ANY Ping blade from the last 30 years would work. The supposed technology of putters is really all about differentiation - i.e. come up with a different shape so people will try it. There is little need for, and less formulation of actual improvements to the putter than in woods or irons.

I own a Ping Pal2 & a Never Compromise Sub30 D3. The first is 20 years old & milled, the second is 5 years old & has a polymer insert. Both are extremely heel/toe weighted with an angled, not bent, neck. That is what I like in a putter.

I fully expect to never need another putter for as long as I live. Putting is 90% mental, if the putter you hold gives you comfort, it is ideal for you. All the rest is B.S. marketing pablum...

it may be slightly deeper, looks pretty much exactly the same though.
i like the putter but want something slightly heavier as at the minute i find myself kinda putting force onto the putter to make sure the ball gets to the hole.
the 18kt gold fill didn't cost much as there isn't much of it - i only had the words "white hot" filled in on the bottom and face. i always keep my clubs in my car or on my back - i never leave them in the changing rooms or outside as i'm sure some ponce will steal 'em!
