    Swing Help---Weight shift Drills

I am 99% sure that I am losing power in my swing due to shifting my weight forward on my backswing. Can anyone suggest any drills or tips to help me keep my weight back until my downswing? Other thoughts?
    Thanks

somethin i saw on the golf channel (haven't tried it) is when you take the club away, take your front foot back next to your back foot and then move it forward when you're abotu half way down to the ball

once again, i haven't tried this but you could give it a try
callaway x460 10* regular fujikira, mid kick

what is your head position- I'm no pro but

I had the dreaded reverse pivot, where the head goes forward on the backswing, and then goes back on downswing. This wouldn't allow the weight to shift from back to front. Besides the obvious, get a few lessons comment, you should stand in front of a mirror and see where your head is before anything. One drill for shifting weight is lifting the front foot half way through the backswing, and on the downswing, swinging the front leg out to the finish before planting the front foot on the ground and putting most of your weight on that foot when you come down to contact the ball. But a few lessons from a decent pro would likely be better than any help you would get here or from fellow golfers.

I try to have my chest over my right foot when at the top of my backswing. Might be worth a try?

Just so I dont get ripped to schreds for the advice (not that anyone on here would do that), just make sure you dont sway to achive it. :-)

    Sort of like this

Thanks for the suggestions.....The be honest, this "problem" really does not seem to impact my game that much. My handicap is a 7 and has been that way for a few years. I really don't practice enough to get better. My issue is that I have lost a lot of distance with my irons and I suspect this is why. It has not really impact my scoring that much b/c I just hit an extra club or two in some cases.

Geez rodney with a 7 handicap why would you ask

us mere mortals what you can do to shift your weight and recoup that distance when it only a matter of using 1 more club. Here I thought you had a problem with your swing. Stupid me.

Try and feel that your weight is on your left heel at the top of the backswing....
