21* 3-iron and 22* wood-hybrid
I've been carrying both my 21* 3-iron and my newer KZG 22* wood-hybrid, both with steel at the same length and flex.
At first I had though the hybrid is easier to hit than the 3-iron.
Now the reliability is about the same, except on fairway bunkers where the super wide sole and the higher trajectory of the hybrid's clearly more useful.
.
From FWs I'm liking the 3-iron's longer reach with the lower flight and from the roughs I'm liking the knobbier head of the 975F 5-wood.
I need to take out my pro on a playing lesson on the course, as from the range mats the 22* hybrid flys far and high, but where there's grass I tend to sky more with my hybrid (and sits) while the my 3-iron sweeps for better result...when it doesn't run off the greens.
Maybe I need to try a deeper-face hybrid? it's not easy to try clubs where I can take a divot. Opinions or observations?
Anyone else going back to thier 3-iron?
golf's a relaxing betting game.
