Hitting irons toward heel, any ideas

Noticed at the range that I'm hitting my irons about a half to 3/4 of an inch toward the heel.
The spot I'm hitting is very consistent and the shots I'm hitting are decent. Any ideas?
Maybe swing path or incorrect fitting of irons. Ball flight is consistently right to left.

are you right handed? It could have just been that you were standing to close to the ball. If you are hitting it solid than I'm not sure what you are so worried about. get the pro at the golf course to just take a quick look. i'm sure that he or she would be happy to take a look. It wouldnt take any time and it would be better than asking those on a golf forum.

I am right handed. I did have some video taken by my instructor but haven't had time to review it with him yet. I work hard on my set up so I don't think I'm standing too close.
Thought someone might have some ideas in the meantime.
Thought that's what the forum was for.

I sort of have the opposite problem on my short irons tincup. I tend to swing too much outside in and put left to right spin on them. Works great with a right side pin location. I hit mine slightly toward the toe. I'd say check your swing path, maybe with impact tape or board. Use different ball positions too. Does it happen on all of your irons?
Be glad we aren't getting all of the government we're paying for.

It *can be* the irons are too upright for your swing (the lie). Your instructor should be able to see if that may be the problem. If you're still making major swing changes you may want to wait to have them flatten.

It does happen on all my irons including the wedges which are vokeys, while my other irons are mizuno mx25's. Not on the driver though. I do use tape at the range sometimes.
I was fitted (although it was at golfer's warehouse) with the impact board but maybe the guy had no clue.

And.. your swing could be getting better Most good players (not all) have a flatter plane at the bottom; even tall players like VJ.
