Unfortunately LC3 lives on the other coast. If you ever have one on the superior side of the country, I'm there. I'll even bring HB some proper golf attire.

That putter stroke looks ILL. Is that a wrist unhinging that early or a backward press? I really can't tell but it doesn't look normal. And for what it's worth nothing wrong with either players attire.

They also are likely dressed not one BUM and one SHOW MODEL. Good compromise for a friendly meeting/round.

Neverman, you cargo-shorts wearing hayseed. You give the Pacific Northwest a bad name.

And I agree that putting setup has some issues. Cargo shorts were probably throwing off Horseball's chi.

What was the course name? You guys played the short tees? Where are you going to be playing in Charleston? You're near my neck of the woods.

I can't find "Quicksilver" or "Billibong" shorts ( I grew up a surf bum in San Diego, eh? ) in anything BUT cargo styles these days. I refuse to wear ol' man shorts and I'm not doing pleatless Nike crap that doesn't leave enough room for my "Jimmies"... My options are few. I did have a nice pair of Silk Tommy Bahama's but my Wife or Daughter abscounded with 'em.

Every time I make the Pacific NW look bad I try to make up for it in some other posting... hopefully I'm somewhere around par instead of shooting double-bogey golf? Maybe a few Eagles will put me in red numbers!!!....

Rivertowne is very good, the nines are really different; the front seems easy then the back ( a Palmer course)
Nearby is Kiawah Island which I love all their courses (Ocean is my favorite)
Wild Dunes is good (I like others better)
In Goose Creek (just outside Charl.) is Crowfield Golf & Country Club (very nice every time I've been their, haven't seen it in a year or two)
The muni course Patriot's Point is a pretty good track for the price
The Links At Stono Ferry is a good layout and most of the time in good condition (home course for the College of Charleston)
If you make it up to Santee the Santee National is a fun course usually in good shape but not the caliber of the ones listed above

Our city tournament starts that weekend... I may could sneak down for a day.
    Cheers,
    Jay

That par 3 with the elevated tee is a sweet looking hole. Is that the SPCC?

Omen - I'll be down there July 20th. I'll be living about 10 minutes away from Legend Oaks. You're welcome to try my SlingShots anytime.

I live about 10 minutes from Legend Oaks now in Wescott and if my house sells will be living in Legend Oaks. I cant wait....hahahahaha

If you guys ever get to Martinsburg WV (actually Hedgesville) then you got to play the WOODS GOLF AND RESORT. Two courses...one regular 18 hole called Mountain View. The other is called Stony Lick and is their Executive Course. It is still 18 holes but only 65% of the length...mostly par 3 and 4 holes. It takes about 5 hours to play the regular course because there is so much room between holes...and the other is playable in 2.5 hours I was told. Beautiful elevated greens....some have manmade ponds instead of kidney bunkers at front of green. Then there are elevated tees with a 50 foot drop onto the green....just beautiful....and I still shot a sucky 109. LOL

Brock - my Parents live in Wescott. I've played the Black Robin 9 twice but haven't played either of the others yet. It's a nice course from what I've seen and the price is right, at least in the afternoon. We'll have to get out sometime after I'm settled in.

No, that's at Elks Run. We actually didn't take many course pictures of the SPCC. I'll have to add some commentary to the pictures when I get more time. Maybe I can even take some other pics of the Super sometime.

Here is what I want to know:

    - Omen. What did you shoot at Elks Run?
    - Balls. Did Omen hit any flop shots from around the green, and if so, did he skull any?

I would have liked to join you fellers, but I was a little too low on the $ this month.

HB, we need to get out and play this year.

Got to admit, it's a very athletic looking finish that I would have trouble replicating. Although I think Lyle may be onto something about the flying right elbow.

That's what I love about this place. Tiger (me) could post his swing and people would be talking about how his swing is a POS.
I never realized just how screwed up my putting stroke is. It's really terrible, but I don't putt too bad.
I also never knew about the ban on cargo shorts. So, I've been a d-bag this whole time? I feel sick about it.
I'll also make sure to get my head measured and post an accurate measurement. I think I fall within human tolerance levels but we'll have to wait for the official word.
QCG, we'll have to get together at some point. Unfortunately, I'm only playing one day during the weekend with an occasional round on Wednesdays after 5:00pm. We could maybe try the SPCC at some point on a weekend. The problem is, it's tourney time and most of my weekend rounds are in some type of event.
HB and his 2 man team partner are in the semi-finals at the Super after a fantanstic 4 and 3 victory on Saturday.

What does SPCC stand for? I can't think of any courses/clubs in the area that fit the letters.

But yea, it's a must do. Keep me in the loop.

Simmer down, HB. Don't get defensive. You are obviously a forward press and a decent pair of shorts away from being a fine player.

Take it easy on Horseballs. He needs those cargo pants to hold his re-load Pro-V1s, cell phone, Skycaddie, digital score counter, x-long Brush tees, ballzee ball cleaner, pocket ball retriever, switchblade divot repair tool and Visiball glasses.

Thank you Horseballs. I think this list should also include "how can i rust my wedge" - the thread that lead to the untimely demise of LC2. Speaking of, shouldn't I get credit for the posts by LC2, before he fell victim to the facist Ben/Tom/BPC regime?

And where is my friend dorkman? Who is on watch for spam around this place?

If this means other identities, the answer is none. I have posted only under LC and his progeny. One jacka$$ character is enough.

It doesn't, just a shout to the original LC.
Co-sign on the multiple jackass characters. I've always had only HB though I have been tempted to create some others. I've been accused of being Spank, Tucan, Roscoe and others.

No way is that shirt tight enough. And it's not even a mock. I call shenanigans.

Although...I can see BPC being a "cargo-shorts on the golf course" kind of guy. Hmmmm......

True enough. I'm also clearly not 6'2" 185lbs of pure muscle.
Seriously about the cargo shorts? Don't tell me you're wearing double-pleated Dockers out there.

I'd feel weird tucking a golf shirt into cargo shorts, particularly at a track as prestigious as the SPCC. I actually prefer quadruple-pleated Bugle Boys.

Probably a lot. I planned on wearing knickers or something awfully distracting to get in everyone's head. It'll give me at least a couple strokes advantage before we even tee off

That's some good stuff. I came up with 2 realizations on these pics.

    1. Omen is one skinny bastard.
    2. Ball licker reminds me of my old youth director. The sweet finish is ala Jeff Maggot.

I'm in the Philly area, but I play tournaments from time to time in the Balto area. Played a 54 hole Solstice Survival tourney at Musket Ridge in Frederick. It was okay, but had no sand in the traps. We also play Patriot's Glen, Beechtree, Bulle Rock, and courses in DE like Back Creek and Frog Hollow. Got any other suggestions?

  64. #64
Musket Ridge and Bulle Rock are great courses. I play at BCC with the old folks or Greystone. I like your commitment to blades.

Omen and boat shoes - I lived in Hampden just west of the Johns Hopkins campus for a while right after I got out of college. There was a pizza place in the neighborhood that was popular for it's "Big Slice". It was triangular and looked just like a regular slice except for it's size. It was probably slightly larger than the average adult human torso, or slightly smaller than HB's head if that's easier for you to picture. If you wanted a whole pie I guess you'd have to eat it there because it would never fit through the door.

Yep, still playing my old T-Zoid pros, but they're really beat up. I'd like to get the MP-60s. What's BCC? Balt. CC.? Is it Private?

  67. #67
i have tzoid pros also. a good compromise between blades and muscle backed in my opinion. my set is getting old but i only see bad wear on my p wedge. they're solid clubs. those mp-32s are manly clubs.

yeah its private... greystone is a fun little twirl... beechtree and mountainbranch do well as well....

BOP makes the best pizza in baltimore... the end

boat shoes i think you're going to fit in just fine here.... and you're right those 32's are manly clubs.

i'll agree with you there. as long as fells isn't under water or in the middle of a race war everyone should stop by. strapazza in towson is a close second in my opinion. never played beechtree but my dad is a big fan.
