    club fitting

I was fitted four years ago for a set of Ping irons. That fitter had me at 2 degrees upright (he was an older gentleman that used to play professionally). I am also at +1/2" for length. However, I was fitted just last week for a new set of Ping irons by a different club fitter (the original guy no longer sells PING). The new fitter kept all specs the same but put me at 1 degree upright after watching me hit from a lie board with my old set and several demo clubs. BTW, the 1 degree do fit a bit better. I am curious though as to why two different professional club fitters would put me at a diferent lie angle. Any thoughts?
The new fitter believes the old fitter may have measured me for lie angle prior to figuring the extra 1/2" length.

Maybe your specs just changed? Different setup, swing? Maybe you have grown or shrunk. who knows these days.

    1. In four years, your stance or setup may have changed slightly
    2. The club sets may not have exactly the same specs for "standard" lie angles
    3. 1 degree is probably within the error of the measurement system. This is a dynamic swing that is being measured, not the length of a board, so it really isn't rocket science
    Seldom right, never in doubt......
