    Low cost practice nets

I have been looking for a low cost option for a few weeks now. With summer coming to an end I noticed the prices on screen enclosures have dropped. I found a 12' wide and 7' high screened enclosure at Walmart in the camping section for $20. It has worked great. Durability seems good after hitting about 30 balls into it. No tears or rips or even worn areas which either means that it is durable or I'm a big ole puss. Anyways, I just wanted to let everyone know.

A low cost option. That sounds impossible. I guess you should scout around and find a good place to hit shag balls. I'm lucky I've got about 20 open acres next to my house with softball fields so I can turn on the lights at night and swing, swing away. I think finding a shag area is probably the best cheap practice. Especially if you can train your dog to retrieve the balls (my lab is too darn lazy)

After my second session with the cheap net I pured my driver and put a hole clean through the mesh netting and standing with an oh sh!t look on my face I listened as my ball traveled over the fence and down the alley. Luckily the only damage was sustained to my net and my ball had the top layer peeled back. Anyways I took a small tarp and placed it in front of net as a target area.
