Burner XD irons
I have to wait another 2 weeks before i can swing my new burners and they are sitting next to me right now. I am having second thoughts do to the fact that they have quite a bit of offset and i play a draw with most irons. While demoing these the amount of offset did not make me hook more but i havent swung a club for a while. Off to the driving range with my old irons hopefully i can get a fade going.

I think that old saying about offset making it hard to work the ball is overblown a bit...
The best two shots of my ball-working life came this year, both with a Ping Zing 4-iron, WAY offset... and in both cases I hooked it out of the forest and turned it down the fairway and ended up on the green. It's one thing to move the ball sideways, another to hit your target with it, soft landing and all...
Exaggerate the open or close in the address, that's for sure... a little won't do it, you need a lot... but if you keep your swing within bounds and hit the ball flush, there's no reason it shouldn't work for you... especially a fade...
